Hope you get a solid amount of time off when the house is finished . Yes, definitely exciting! Was a nice surprise today. It's actually possible they were installing it today because I stopped by first thing in the morning after handover at the hospital. Haha... good hunch. I don't think I was too transparent about it until I got the feeling you were on to me. Need to get through our son's birthday party, then rental house inspection, then hopefully 'the big move' after that!! Wife and I were talking about it the other day, 2018 should aim to be a 'quiet year' for us as 2017 has been pregnancy + build house + exams, 2016 - three weddings (ceremonies) + exams Follow our first house build here! -> https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86484 Re: The epic home building race - STARTED FLOORS! 363Sep 05, 2017 9:59 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Made my choice for kitchen pendants. Ordered and waiting for their safe arrival! Will have the Bunnings prism/geometric white opaque ceramic lights as back-up if we decide we are sick of keeping our 'first choice' pendants clean. How exciting your planks have arrived Re: The epic home building race - STARTED FLOORS! 365Sep 06, 2017 10:16 pm Hey Ruraldoc, I really like the glass pendants. They might gather a bit of dust but they do sparkle when clean! At least the glass shade is facing downwards instead of up! Thinking I might investigate a bit of an industrial look for our pendants, when we get to it! Looking forward to seeing your planks in place! As I'm sure you are too! So what do you think of the vinyl?? I'm going with vinyl this time and would like an honest opinion, Flea loves hers and Henry too I'm hoping you agree too. Your carpet looks very lush, seriously can't wait for lush carpet. The carpet in our rental is used to line boats (not really but it's so COURSE ) I did have a hunch about the Dr, the 8 days on and irregularity of day and night shifts and also being very calm when your wife had to go to Brisbane with your little lady. I say good on you it's an amazing achievement to do what you guys are doing, you work insanely hard and the pay isn't fabulous (yet ) the exams are life consuming and cost a bomb. Will you specialize or be a general dr/surgeon. Have you asked the dreaded PCI date question again? Hope all went well with the birthday party too. Re: The epic home building race - STARTED FLOORS! 372Sep 13, 2017 8:26 pm Holy smokes batman!!! How have I missed so much?? Love the lights can't wait to see them babies up! The flooring looks great! I think your carpet is almost the same colour as ours super awesome taste there Have you been given a PCI date yet?? Can't wait to see more pics! Vinyl is a great alternative to the natural materials like wood and tiles. And we love ours so far. I still doubt its true durability for random nicks and scratches but time will tell! I'm a rural GP..😊 so specialise in cowboy medicine but basically Jack of all trades to serve our community as best we can! Love the carpets even more now they are down. Can't wait to sleep on them. Haha! Asked our SS today.. he said 3 weeks? Though he says there's a few tidying up stuff to do externally.. but the tightness of our block behind the retaining wall makes it a logistical challenge! Here's hoping! We have been given the green light to have our new fridge delivered next week so it pretty much means internals should be done! Birthday party went well. He showed a few friends the house through the windows.. and we played soccer on the open field. Internals are done.. chippie was here today finishing door knobs.. waiting for concrete next week! And bam... here's some creepy thru window shots. Hehe.
