Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The epic home building race - SLAB DONE, FRAMING! 141May 24, 2017 6:35 am I love this wife cam! Looking good Rural have they also made the driveway less steep? Doesn't look like a massive incline now. Well from what I can see Re: The epic home building race - SLAB DONE, FRAMING! 142May 24, 2017 11:51 pm Tribe7 Nice progress Rural, gutters on and roof next . I read your weather update and had a little choke! 2 degrees!!! Better not get that cold here or I'm going back to the coast. We have had bad fog lately. I'm waiting for your baby news too, not long to go now. Best of luck to you all, I hope everything goes smoothly on delivery day and everyone is healthy and safe. Thought I might add my well wishes now for the pending arrival because when your little miss arrives you will be a tad busy Thanks Tribe! Yup we are very very close! I think my wife will let me stay in contact with H1... hehe.. need to keep our thread going as long as our build keeps going!! And yes, some baby news will come along too. Very foggy indeed, especially in any gullies, valleys or near creeks. Looking good Rural have they also made the driveway less steep? Doesn't look like a massive incline now. Well from what I can see Haha, I say wife in car cam.. coz its pretty much the exact same angle each time she takes the pics... Driveway not sorted yet. The will likely fill a lot more to flatten the incline... but yeah as long as keep the incline as flat as possible, we will be very happy... assuming that the concreters who did the slab and retaining walls will be the same, I can talk to the boss directly to make sure they make it happen. He's a good bloke.. even though plays for a rival soccer club.. haha:)) Follow our first house build here! -> https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86484 Re: The epic home building race - SLAB DONE, FRAMING! 145May 25, 2017 12:10 am Glad everything is coming along nicely with ma and the babe. Your so close to being a family of 4 it's not funny. Glad to hear you will be keeping up with your thread too. Re: The epic home building race - SLAB DONE, FRAMING! 146May 25, 2017 1:45 am That is pretty cool! They seem to have a mixture of classic and modern together! Traditional separated faucets/handles, but then with the clean lines make it look more modern. I find it interesting most taps nowadays are a single handle that rotate to make it hotter or colder... for our part, we are doing a swivel bath tap - to avoid dented children's heads. Otherwise most of our mixers will be the single handle that rotates for hot and cold. Looking amazing so far! I LOL at the wife cam.. I used to do the same, although I would feel like a stalker and do it on the sly as I didn't want the workers to see me stop and take a photo haha no idea my logic on that one :-p Re: The epic home building race - SLAB DONE, FRAMING! 148May 26, 2017 6:47 am Awesome!!! Wife cam is awesome my sister does the same, when she is on patrol she will swing past our block sit and take photos... I sure it probably would freak out the workers to have a police truck sitting out the front watching for a bit Woohoo fascia and gutter, when's the roof scheduled? Not long now for this bubba, I bet your poor wife would be over this pregnancy. Wishing you both all the best GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: The epic home building race - SLAB DONE, FRAMING! 149May 26, 2017 2:00 pm Oops... totally forgot to post some updates past few days, but the local roofing subcontractor who I met this morning has been finishing the roof, and hopefully waterproofing done by end of day. She actually caused a freak-out by the chippies whom thought she was talking stalking photos of them when they were framing. Possibly some walk around pics this weekend.
