Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 06, 2017 8:38 pm Hi I am new to this forum. I do not know if it is right place to talk this topic. I bought a property from vendor which was built by Porter Davis. this house is still under 7 years property warrenty. there are two major issues i found: 1. squeaky noise under carpet. The porter davis manager does not agree it can be covered by 7 years warrenty. 2. outside brick small crack: manager said it is small crack ,not big, so no issue, will not be covered by 7 years warrenty. Is what they said fair? The VBA website below gives you a run down (basically you have 24 months) to stop squeaking and cracks need to be of a certain size before they are considered a defect. http://www.vba.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0020/29063/Guide-to-Standards-and-Tolerances-2015.pdf Home Blog: https://waldorfgrange.wordpress.com/ Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12332 thanks Chippy, i hope they have applied sealer but i am doubt to be honest, so i am gonna do this job after handover. 8 16268 |
