Squeeeeee!!!! yeah it definitely will! Valeco i've noticed (at least in our estate), is that they seem to work pretty quickly... them and metricon seem to be the most active which is a good sign. Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 83Jul 19, 2017 9:11 pm Whooop! Awesome to hear, I haven't seen other builds to know if they're relatively quick or not. We're crossing our fingers that we might be in our home by Feb 2018 though... because that's when our rental lease runs out. Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 84Jul 19, 2017 9:15 pm our lease runs out at the end of October... not sure how long we will need to extend for. Im hoping we will be in around the same time, but its more likely March or April by everyone else's experience on this forum lol Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 85Jul 19, 2017 9:17 pm Our lease runs out in September We will be moving in with my in-laws for a little while, hopefully only a month or two. Congrats on the loan approval, another step in the right direction Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 86Jul 19, 2017 9:22 pm allblaqk Our lease runs out in September We will be moving in with my in-laws for a little while, hopefully only a month or two. Congrats on the loan approval, another step in the right direction lucky you have them nearby then - you'll save heaps! Unfortunately our family live too far away, although not sure i could do it.. even for a few weeks lol Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 87Jul 19, 2017 9:23 pm gr8ly lucky you have them nearby then - you'll save heaps! Unfortunately our family live too far away, although not sure i could do it.. even for a few weeks lol Yeah its not too bad, it will make my husbands drive to work a lot longer but it will only be for maybe month or 2 *fingers crossed* Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 88Jul 19, 2017 9:25 pm Subbing as we are also about to build custom with Valeco Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 89Jul 19, 2017 9:33 pm Whoooo more Valeco builders! Thanks! What stage are you up to and what area are you building in? Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 90Jul 19, 2017 9:35 pm I have no idea what we will do if our lease runs out whilst still building. I suppose we will try and get an extension on it if we can, but we share house with 3 other people... not sure if they would want a couple of weeks extension if they're also trying to find another place to move to. I'm sure you'll have a better idea what's happening closer to completion. We may go month-by-month if they let us. Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 92Jul 20, 2017 7:20 am staceyrussell Whoooo more Valeco builders! Thanks! What stage are you up to and what area are you building in? We are building Northside of Brisbane, currently awaiting council approval. We would have loved to be in by Xmas, but looking to be unlikely 😔 Really hoping council comes through soon so we can have an early august site start! Will definitely be following along! Hi Bree!! Thank you! Yay!!! Welcome to the Valeco club! haha What stage are you up to at the moment?) We are having our full working drawings done at the moment, finance is approved, but will be waiting impatiently for at least 4 months for settlement on our land How have you found Valeco? We are pretty impressed with them at the moment, but have seen a few bad reviews, hopefully everything goes well for all of us! Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 97Jul 24, 2017 9:12 pm breebarter We are having our full working drawings done at the moment, finance is approved, but will be waiting impatiently for at least 4 months for settlement on our land How have you found Valeco? We are pretty impressed with them at the moment, but have seen a few bad reviews, hopefully everything goes well for all of us! The waiting is the worst part. We've just been told that our land settlement has been pushed back again, was supposed to be this month and is now mid August. And when touching base with Valeco to see what the progress is with our plan approvals, this actually means they can't start the plan approvals until late August. I was hoping everything would coincide and we'd be building by August. I've come to realise this means we probably won't be starting the build until October (since approvals take 4-6 weeks or more). Urgh. On the plus side, we now have formal loan approval. Yay! We've found Valeco to be pretty great so far. Very happy with our plans and pricing seems fair for the most part. Of course it's early days and we have our fingers crossed that the building process will be relatively smooth sailing. I've seen some bad reviews too, although most of them seem to be for older builds and most of the time Valeco seems active in rectifying issues. I suppose it's a matter of keeping ontop of things if there's any hiccups and crossing fingers for a good site supervisor. Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 98Jul 24, 2017 9:17 pm staceyrussell Fingers crossed for you!! Have you gone with a standard or custom plan? Will you be starting a thread too? Would love to follow along! We decided to go custom as we're having trouble finding something we loved. I just saw your comment about delays on land delaying your plans. The waiting game is so horrible when all you can think about is getting into your dream house! No plans for a thread at this stage, but you'll be the first to know! Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 99Jul 25, 2017 12:59 pm Stacey, Do you have a list of the builders range carpet that valeco supplies? Thanks Re: Springfield Rise - Custom Valeco Home - COLOUR SELECTION 100Jul 25, 2017 1:55 pm breebarter Stacey, Do you have a list of the builders range carpet that valeco supplies? Thanks Hey Bree, Unfortunately I don't. I don't think they even have a list (they didn't provide us with one) - we didn't know what we could choose from until we went to the Colour Selection Appointment. I even went into the carpet supplier's showroom and they basically told me they couldn't really help me and that we would see the samples at the appointment with Valeco. I just wanted to know in advance so that we could be prepared, because.. what if we didn't like anything in the standard range? I wanted to see what else they had. Anyway,... we weren't all that picky in the end. Just chose a mid-tone grey carpet from the standard selection. I suppose you could email them and ask if they are able to provide you with a list? To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9832 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10930 |
