It's a great inclusion to have. We are so confused about the guidelines at Brookhaven. No idea what is compulsory and what is only a guide. Were you told by Brookhaven it's not compulsory to have coloured mortar? Were you told by Brookhaven it's not compulsory to have coloured mortar? We were told by Tracey at Yarrabilba as we went through her. If anything you could just do the front of the house in the mortar if you wanted to, I have noticed a lot of people rendering the front facade and a slight return. Are you in the Brookhaven residents group on Facebook? The Admin, Sian or Brooke on there will answer all your design guidelines questions, they are pretty prompt as well. Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 270Dec 06, 2017 11:12 pm Great thank you so much for letting me know about that group, lots of question to ask them. Nearly all of our front is rendered but at least we won't need coloured mortar to the sides Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 271Dec 07, 2017 12:06 am breebarter maybe the price difference is due to your glass side light? We dont have that. Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 272Dec 07, 2017 12:08 am kevinmarques89 your design is great! We had Dean at Springfield Lakes too. He was lovely Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 273Dec 09, 2017 10:59 am Did you guys get barrier screens included? we are really confused as in the inclusions list he sent us it says included but now he is saying they are not 🤔 Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 274Dec 09, 2017 12:07 pm Kevinmarques89 Did you guys get barrier screens included? we are really confused as in the inclusions list he sent us it says included but now he is saying they are not 🤔 I'm pretty sure security screens are one of the only things that aren't included. We asked the question prior to even choosing Valeco, so we knew right from the get go. Where was it listed? In promotional printed material, or in a custom written quote? Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 275Dec 09, 2017 12:15 pm i despise barrier screens - i would have removed them anyway. There are other nicer security measures available. They weren't included at the time we signed up, but i think at some point they did include them as standard for a while. Maybe they have removed it again? We missed out on solar panels as well amongst other things. Valeco seem to change their offerings every few months. Yeah they have made a few changes to their standard inclusions recently and they also had a price rise shortly after we signed our HIA contract. Even though you may have missed out on something that is now considered "included as standard" doesn't mean you missed out pricing wise. The cost of the now included solar panels would just be incorporated into their base price now, as opposed to it being something you could purchase as an extra. Very true... we plan to get solar panels sometime down the track. Meanwhile just got back from our block and it's a hive of activity at the moment... we are finally getting a slab i'll post some pics up tonight Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 278Dec 09, 2017 12:24 pm gr8ly Very true... we plan to get solar panels sometime down the track. Can't wait to see photos! Has your SS given you any indication as to how much they hope to achieve prior to Christmas? Also, does anybody know how much of a break there would typically be over the Christmas period? I'll be heading to our house on Tuesday for our first on-site meeting, will get to meet our new SS and actually talk about the progress etc. I'm excited to see if there's been much more progress over the last week.. we haven't received updates (and don't even have a contact number for our SS), so we have no idea. haha Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 279Dec 09, 2017 12:33 pm staceyrussell Woohoooo!!! We were told it is normally the last week of december, and then most of january! so probably less than 2 weeks before they down tools. It will ultimately depend on their contractors. Most of them tend to head off on holidays. Our SS said he hopes to have the frames up before break. Re: BRICKS Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochrome 280Dec 09, 2017 4:55 pm yes it is listed online in their downloadable brochure for standard inclusions and also on their physical booklet they gave us. apparently they are both incorrect.. we weren't too fussed if we got them or not, just confusing that two things list them as included and then our guy says no... To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9862 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10940 |
