Photo above is where the toilet are. Both ensuite and main toilet had this big hole. Obviously, if there is any leakage it's just going to go straight into the holes which goes straight into the timber frame. Very bad work done here and they meant to waterproof the whole area just in case of any water leakage.
Rang the site supervisor because we want all work in the wet area to STOP. But guess what! They tiles all the areas already. We refuse to let it go so they are going to have to pull the tiles up and re lay the tiles after proper standard of waterproofing is done. Not going to joke, but we are shock with the work done. Simonds does so many homes a year yet they did something like that. Not very good.
Just a reminder to everyone out there to constantly check on the tradies works. If you are not sure if it's done right ask for another person suggestion. I understand they uses contractors for different job but whoever certified that these jobs are done according to Australian waterproofing standard is very bad too.

oh wow. That's a worry. Can I ask if you guys are using a private building inspector? We're still only just at contract signing stage but have opted to use a private inspector because frankly we are clueless about things like this.
We didnt use a building inspector. we just kept an eye on them. There is things that we are not sure but we just kept asking different tradies on their feedback.
