Upper lining boards southward Lower render stoney creek. Trims, lining board on the ceiling of the portico, and eaves Calcium. Indoor we have calcium trims and kitty grey walls (we wanted half strength but he couldn't put it in the system, which is just plainly ridiculous). Windows white. Southwards was not offered to us for outside, we picked it for inside. We chose Champignon ¼ strength because it was on the Bayside display home so therefor in the computer. They only other grey we were offered was Shale Grey which looked too Greeny Grey for my liking. - View my blog at www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com Re: Porter Davis - Madison 40 244Nov 04, 2017 1:28 pm Waldorf_Grange_Build fademan Gutters, fascia and garage door woodland grey. If you get it done by an outside company then you have to come up with all of that money rather than borrowing most of it from the bank, and some people might not have enough to be able to do that. For Birk, shutters in bath, and ensuite. Romans for sliding doors, and curtains for bedrooms. Just standard materials to be honest. I didn't ask for imported Italian silk drapes, woven together using Rapunzel's hair! I seriously choked on my coffee. Unbelievable. We budgeted for about 12-15k and think we can make that work elsewhere. We have been with them before. Never had any problem with them. We requested a quote from impact back in April 2017 after our tender appointmentt, and since then we've been going back and forth to change colours or to remove something and add something else. Originally we ended up with a quote of about 17K, then last few months with our changes it went down to 14K. We have just settled the final payment 2 weeks ago. blindsonline is not bad, they do have some good pricing but after working out the differences between impact and blindsonline, the prices were very similar but the point of difference was impact provided professional installation whereas blindsonline is a DIY. If you are handyman/woman and have time to do the installation then blindsonline is probably the answer. I have done this in the past for a single storey but there is no way I am doing it again for a double storey by myself. I have no time for this and would rather have a team doing it for me. Tip: if you doing it by yourself, and you have more than 5 windows/blinds/roman to install you gonna need an extra person. Trust me, holding a roman blind up for 5 mins is tough...especially if it is 3metres long As of today we have sheers, shutters, and couple of roller blinds to use as blocker. We ended up removing all roman blinds and went for sheers and shutters. My wife wanted the option to change the colours every couple of years hence we went with sheers as it's easy to remove, wash and replace. Also today I got my final invoice. That's right FINAL..! . Building the Madison 40 | By Porter Davis Re: Porter Davis - Madison 40 257Nov 09, 2017 7:08 pm Speaking of curtains, birk came back with a revised quote under 20k that would cover the bedrooms and front of the home, with no shears to try and get my business. They proposed to upgrade the curtain brackets to double so shears can be installed later. Upgrade of brackets for four rooms was $900. So going from a $10 bracket to arguably $20 bracket is $900. The brackets weren't even drawstring, but manual. I ask again: what planet do they think they're on? Can you get quotes from curtain companies using just the tender drawings and elevations? I feel like giving the birk quote , which includes fabrics, to another company to see what they come back with. So we're looking like $100k in upgrades and a total build cost of just over $600k. Seems excessive....sigh.
