yes. They left a crate of tiles out front. I think they plan to redo it. I need a drone to inspect each and every tile. The dark tiles make it hard to find cracks from far.

Looking good!! They will do a tile service once scaffolding is all down and replace any cracked ones. Not sure what happens if it rains before then

Thanks Kylz4. Good to know they will fix the tiles without a push from me. Brisbane did storm heavily yesterday. Water has ponded around my slab and everything outside is wet. But there is no leak inside. I think it's because of the Sarking.

Was out of town for work during the week. It's such a roller coaster of emotion to see the progress.

M has installed stairs. Love the open thread. It let's so much light through from the back.

They installed all doors and trims. But they did not install the door handle. Realised it after I shut the door to take the picture. Had to get out of window onto the scaffolding and climb down ? This is probably why M discourages you from visiting your site without a supervisor.



Some damage to the front door sill from the heavy rain yesterday. Will M replace the entire door as it came as a package?



Rear roller door and corner stacker installed. I will be locked out soon





Waterproofing and leak test in ensuite. I see some water spots on ground floor below the ensuite. They better fix it good

I love the nitch when your aquarium will go. I wish I thought if that. Always wanted an aquarium build inside the wall. Looking good. Progressing well.

Speeding along

Slight progress this week. Seems we will reach Finishing progress payment milestone by the end of March.

Tiles was delivered. Met with tiler on site to go over the plan. Good thing because he hasn't been able to get the tile layout plan from SM so I gave him my print out.

The smart tiles installed in all wet areas. He has also levelled the wet floor area floors with cement.







Cabinets delivered and installation in progress. Got 2pac in Whisper white. The colour looks good so far. Can't wait to see it with the stone bench top.









Cladding and rendering on side and back are completed. The only thing left is cladding and rendering on the front. Guess they are waiting for the scaffolding to be removed.

Don't have pictures but looks like the electrician or carpenter has made a pass through. There are holes in all the places where the PowerPoint and switches will go.

SM messaged an update that painting is planned to start on 4th April. Hopefully they can finish painting before Easter which would mean PCI in May.

Watching your build intently as my wife and I are in the pre-lim contract stage for a Merricks 37 to be constructed over the road at Augustine Heights!

Love everything you've chosen so far! We're a little jealous as our budget just doesn't allow for a lot of the stuff you've selected!

Good luck; shame about that cyclone but hopefully doesn't affect your build too much!

Good to find another building a Merrick and just over the road too. Would love to follow your build. Good thing about Merricks 37 is the use of space above the garage to make the bedroom size bigger. Merricks 34/38/42 doesn't have anything above the garage.

Got a letter this week from M claiming 10 days extension due to rain in March. Guess today's cyclone will result in another extension.

Visited my build yesterday. As I drive up, my first reaction is they removed all the scaffoldings and fence. Yay. I can finally see the whole house. Then I see they installed the garage door. And I think... I am locked out

Hi Nabeelc , your facade coming nice looking forward to see when it is complete. would you mind to share how much M charged for butt window? And how much was upgrade cost of stairs with glass bal (what was the credit and how much is the new stairs with glass). thanks.

The corner butt window was $2475. Not credit for window as the original facade doesn't have the corner butt window.

The stair was $12210. No credit as the description said 'in lieu of standard'. My stair is open risers with closed stringer with square nosing profile. Rebated glass and MET6 downturn handrail.

The same stair with steel balustrade instead of glass was 10K. The same stair with open stringer was quoted as $16K.
