Cascade Q1 - Henley Homes with Mods 122Jul 28, 2017 8:52 pm Lots has happened this week, painting complete, plumbing fit off, floors levelled and alarm installed. I'm pretty happy with the White Duck 1/4 I thought it might be a bit creamy but it's a very neutral grey beige. The mortar is slowly drying to an off white but I'm still really concerned hopefully it is better than this before handover . They really need to do a site clean, I nearly cried when I saw my beautiful tiles, took all my strength to not go home and get a mop and vacuum Time to photo bomb... The dust and grime drives me crazy, I'm dying to see the place when its clean. Re: Cascade Q1 - Henley Homes with Mods 124Jul 29, 2017 12:13 pm Wow you place looks great!! Thank you . The bricks have been cleaned but will probably need another light wash before handover. When the neighbours bricks were cleaned they managed to spray mine with mud. Cascade Q1 - Henley Homes with Mods 126Aug 04, 2017 10:10 pm Starting to get excited, the way things are going the end of August or early September is beginning to look like a reality. Garage door installed & temp fencing is down. Really happy with how the facade has turned out can't wait to see the grey pebble render. Re: Cascade Q1 - Henley Homes with Mods 127Aug 08, 2017 3:30 pm And the lights are on . Not much left to do. Wardrobes needed to be fitted out, caulking done, render painted, flooring installed and site/inside cleaned. There is a drainage issue that I want resolved before handover that was identified by Darbecca. I am still waiting for Henley to respond with a solution but I won't be accepting the keys until it's sorted out. I was so worried about the paint colour but now that it's up I really like it. Im still waiting for my slab to be poured What was the drainage issue darbecca found? Im using Darbecca as well how are you finding them?? Thank you. The wait is so painful, I hope they start soon. Darbecca have been awesome so far, really glad I engaged them. Because I'm on a zero lot boundary Darbecca have said that drainage needs to be installed on the adjoining block next to my garage to help maintain the slabs integrity. Without it my 50 year warranty is void. I'm still waiting for Henleys response to this issue. Cascade Q1 - Henley Homes with Mods 131Aug 18, 2017 8:45 pm Getting closer to NHP lots of little things finished off but I'm finally locked out so no pics of wardrobe fitout, mirrors etc. All that is left are carpets and a few minor things. My SS was meant to do a write up today(not sure if this was done) and QA next week with cert of occupancy to follow. So stressed out I can't wait for the next six weeks to be over. My current home is on the market so I have to keep it at display standard until the auction on the 2nd of Sept. Im over the open house thing already and there are six more left. I also have to organize/finalize quotes for driveway, blinds, shutters, nbn, gas, insurance etc. I don't recommend building and selling at the same time. Van Gogh laminate installed, it looks much better in person the pics don't do it justice. Unfortunately youll still have to pay the fee I think... I like the first light best. Thank you . I went and bought the first light today along with lights for my pillars and bathrooms. Guess I will have to suck up the $300 fee . Re: Cascade Q1 - Henley Homes with Mods 134Aug 23, 2017 6:32 pm I got a phone call from my admin today to book in NHP for next Thursday, not as excited as what I thought I would be but I'm sure that will come when I get a handover date. Carpet is in, it's only Cat 1 but I upgraded the underlay so it feels nice to walk on. It was a promotion inclusion so I didn't pay for it. Figure if I don't like it I can rip it up and get it done post build. My SS has done his QC and there are blue stickers everywhere and the bathroom has been pulled apart. The SS wasn't happy with the way the tile shower base insert step was done so the bath and tiles have been pulled out. Called into beacon and bought a pendant for the powder room, pillar lights and 3 lights for over bathroom/ensuite. Still managed to spend over $800 even though they were on sale . Carpet is a warm grey. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laminate with the lights on. Your progress are much faster than mine, i've got some issues along the way and will be visiting my site today and check out the progress. I stopped updating my build coz i got frustrated and took your advice removing some negative comments about the builder. For NBN, i'm going to try Telecube, they offer a promotion to whirpool forum for $69.90 1000GB (100/40). That sucks I thought you would be in by now, I hope they have managed to sort out all the issues. I'm looking forward to seeing some progress pics. Have they given you a date yet? Did you have liquidated damages in your contract? Deleting the comments was the right thing to do, if you are having issues with them the last thing you want is for communication to become more strained. After you get your keys it should be safe to give your honest opinion on here and product review. Thank you I will have to check them out, ugh so much to organise . Re: Cascade Q1 - Henley Homes with Mods 140Aug 30, 2017 9:33 pm I'm looking forward to PCI tomorrow. Hoping there aren't too many issues, it will be interesting to see what Darbecca pick up on. I have a feeling that the drainage on the zero lot boundary that was picked up on previous inspections but not yet resolved will mean at least 2 weeks until handover. True to form I'm struggling to pick an exposed aggregate mix. I went to the Geostone showroom in Bulleen to get a better idea, I struggle with small samples. If I end up building my forever home I'm definitely getting polished or honed concrete, it looks amazing . If anyone is interested in their happy to post pics of samples. I'm leaning towards one of these..
