Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 10, 2017 7:04 pm Hi, we bought an independent block of land through a real estate agent in Western Australia and we are building on it currently. There are 2 blocks of land each side that have not been built on yet, at the end of our build we are planning to put a fence up, do we have to pay the whole bill for the land or do the other land owners still need to pay for half? FENCING COSTS ON VACANT BLOCKS 2Jan 10, 2017 7:18 pm Hi I'm not entirely sure but my understanding is that if you build the fences before anyone owns the Neighbouring block then the cost is up to you but if someone owns the block before when you build the fence, they are required to pay half. We just bought a block of land in victoria and the people behind us who have been living there a while still haven't built a fence as they were waiting for someone to buy our block so they didn't have to pay full price Build thread: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t Building the simonds palisade in gippsland Re: FENCING COSTS ON VACANT BLOCKS 4Jan 10, 2017 8:07 pm Hmm in that case I'm not too sure, sorry! I definitely couldn't live without fencing! I'd pay full price if a had too but luckily we have owners on all sides to go halves. I don't know if I could live without a fence haha I am pretty sure, u need to contact the owners and u can get their details through council.... then u need to give them with some fencing quote, type and price. And then when u both agreed on a fence then u share the cost.... if u put up a fence without ur neighbour consultation then they can decline their share of cost Re: FENCING COSTS ON VACANT BLOCKS 6Jan 10, 2017 11:01 pm You are up for full cost of the fence until your neighbours build. Legally your neighbours don't have to contribute half until they build. https://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/sites/de ... online.pdf Those span tables can be pushed a little for a low deck if you dont mind a little flex. Last deck I did, I pushed it a little and it was still rock solid - no noticeable… 6 13757 Need to remove glass panel out of concrete without wrecking the glass to get the spa room in, any recommendations on how to do that. Thank you 0 39043 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6156 |
