Yeah my top floor is only 100sqm (excluding wet areas) so $7k is a good investment. Our builder is repairing our timber floor to first floor due to excessive squeaks in all the carpeted areas and uneven floors due to warping (prob caused by rain when they installed timber flooring without a roof!) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Oh no - hopefully I don't get squeaking on my block. From memory my upstairs flooring was exposed to heavy rain for 1 day. Do you have a video of the squeaking? Would be good to see what is deemed as excessive. Also - why is one of the floor joists unattached at the end? And the other floor joist seems to be nailed into another piece of wood to hold it. I thought they floor joists aren't meant to "float" or be nailed to another piece of wood parallel to it for more reach. Re: My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb 1203Oct 08, 2017 7:23 am This area where they had to fix the floor because it was uneven. I don't know why the end doesn't join the other joists. The carpenter had to re-brace the joists again. All the bedrooms have squeaks so I'm making M to lift the carpets to re-screw all the floor boards. If it doesn't get fixed now then the squeaks will get worse in the future. Depends what you are going for. Our house is quite modern and we went for cool white which suits. The warm white looks a bit yellowish which throws our wall colour a bit yellow. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13443 |
