I hope that this great progress continues for you. Good Luck! Re: My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb 743Jun 23, 2017 7:07 pm Looks great! Congrats Renman! Just realised they/we forgot about our sliding door recess!! Glad you remembered yours! Got email this afternoon advise me that the frame materials will be delivered next week. Same thing happened to me, they rebated 3 of the 4 stacker doors during my slab stage and forgot 1. They just came back at a later date and cut it out after I told my SM. I was onsite on and off most of today and they guys were good and let me walk around site as much as I wanted. Had an interesting chat to the boss about slab and concrete option. Was a bit off off with M at the end of the conversation about not telling us the upgrade options of a waffle slab. We are stuck on contract variation for about 2 months now and we havent even received a correct floor plan drawing yet. Drawings seems to be held up across the board at the moment. We were at variations about 3 months before final contract and another 6 months afterwards. A bit stressed out tonight and this weekend, seems to be having light showers for the few days. Hope the top cover of the slab doesn't stuff up as they spent so much time getting it leveled for us. My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 viewtopic.php?t=86114
Water is good for a fresh slab. They used to recommend (back in the day) hosing a fresh slab down regularly over the first few days to keep it from drying too quickly and cracking. My understanding is that curing agents in the concrete have improved over the years to the point where that isn't necessary anymore. But rain on a fresh slab is fine. majestic35.weebly.com Re: My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb 755Jun 25, 2017 11:18 pm Awesome! Congrats!
Thanks for the advice Rocchet They used the Winter 1 concrete according the contractor. The concrete company was pushing for Winter 2 but he pushed back and it the end the results was much better and provided them with the sufficient amount of time to complete the work. His experience paid off. My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 viewtopic.php?t=86114 My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb 757Jun 26, 2017 7:22 am Thanks Nth & JLH. We visited the site and everything looked really good. The surface of the concrete was still as smooth as they left it. The rain discovered a slight slope/puddle on water between the kitchen island and the family room. Took a pic and send it to the SM to make sure it is resolved. Inspector will check it for 3mm over 3m tolerance during the slab/frame stage.
