Hubs and I always call past and have a sticky beak every time we pass through. Our friends have a block in there and our other friends are looking to buy a block there too π My Homeone Thread -Β Re: Anyone one else building in Huntlee, hunter valley? 5Jan 08, 2017 3:13 pm DreamHome2point0 We looked at building at huntlee, it's really nice in there but we ended up finding a block just down the highway at Waterford County at Chisholm. [/quote] Sounds like you have everything well planned out. We built with Oracle Platinum Homes, they are a qld company who are just starting out in nsw so we had our fair share of "teething problems" is what they called it lol. Happy with the build but the process was a nightmare. So SO glad to be in though π Are you moving from far or are you already local? I'm hoping I do to somewhat you never know what could happen in the building process and we're first home owners so makes this process just that one bit scarier lol Oh no! That's not good that you didn't enjoy the journey but hopefully being in your home makes up for that. We live closer to maitland but find Huntlee perfect as my fiancΓ© works towards singleton and I'm studying teaching so I can really go anywhere Re: Anyone one else building in Huntlee, hunter valley? 10Jan 08, 2017 4:05 pm Yes loving being in our new home, the rest is history and I know everyone gies through the same issues when it comes to building. Oh good, you're nice and close at least so you'll be able to keep a close eye on everything. My husband is a tradie so he travels all over the hunter valley and newcastle so we are pretty central to all of his work. I work from home for our business doing the books and admin so where we live doesn't affect me as much workwise. Do you have all of you colours selected or know what you want? Building can be a bit overwhelming at times but this forum has so much advice and is so helpful for anyone building really. I love following (and stalking lol) everyone else's builds. Definitely I will be keeping an eye on it lol That's awesome. What does your husband do as a trade? Surprisingly I've got the inside sorted which we will keep everything white and grey with pops of black throughout, however it's the external colours that's really throwing me Omg I love this blog! It's the best thing ever. Did you guys do a blog for your building journey? We went with white, grey & charcoal so similar to what you may have in mind. I do have a thread but I haven't posted many pics since moving in as we've had family staying with us and haven't been able to organise much. There will be plenty of more pics to come I promise. I'll post you the link. Hubs is a tv antenna man. He does tv antennas, satellites, phone, data, tv mounting, home theatre etc. Plenty of work for him around the hunter valley that's for sure.
