Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 06, 2017 2:03 pm Hi All, Our Colour appointment is on the 18th and due to shutdown period our administrator is on leave til the 16th.. so I thought I'd try my luck and see if anyone on here knows.. I unfortunately did not really realise that the supplier Plantation uses for stone is Quantum Quartz, I really had my heart set on using a Cesarstone stone for the island bench (Calacutta Nuvo) and I've had a look on the Quantum Quartz site and I don't like any of there marble-look ones nearly as much.. Does anyone know if you can use something outside of the supplier list? Feeling frustrated with myself for not realising.. but hoping that its still a possibility.. Does anyone know?? TIA!!!!!!! Anyone know? 2Jan 05, 2018 7:59 pm Hi, I'm also building with plantation and am in production stage. We also went through the same thing as you, trying to use different suppliers for some things. In our case, I really didn't like the choice of hot water system suppliers (dux or chromagen) and wanted to use a different one but wasn't able to. But then for some things, they do allow you to do your own thing, like we did with the air conditioning. I can't say for sure, but I doubt you'll be able to use a different supplier for the kitchen benchtops. You really need to confirm with your administrator what you can do. Good luck. Anthony Thank you for the reply, however, our build is now finished. You are correct we were unable to use another supplier, annoying as now they actually use cesarstone as thier supplier but we love our choices nonetheless Our Trinity Lux Q1 with Plantation Homes: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85254&view=undread#unread Insta: @newhomedream Re: Plantation Homes Question Re: Cesarstone.. Anyone know? 4Jan 06, 2018 12:56 pm Good Morning, My name is Eric I'm still at Tender stage i already made a change of my hot water system suppliers to Rinnai B26 (Code : B26N50) which is more reliable than Dux brand Cesarstone now is standard to plantation home started at 1/10/2017 . I was signed on 25/9/2017 however they still provide me Cesarstone rather than Quantum Quartz. Re: Plantation Homes Question Re: Cesarstone.. Anyone know? 5Jan 07, 2018 7:34 am That's interesting because i also wanted a Rinnai and was told i couldn't have it. Must depend on who you talk to unless they've changed their policy or suppliers recently. The most definitive answer to your question James is this taken from the James Hardie Axon Cladding Installation Guide - i just happen to have it… 5 3683 I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe. S o I… 0 36944 Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 24833 |
