I've grown up doing renovations and extensions with the family, etc but about to embark on possibly first one myself. I plan on doing as much as i realistically can myself and with family/friends, but would $150k cover: an extension covering 21 square metres including kitchen, lounge and dining, 2 bathroom renovations, plus flooring and minor upgrades to original home? By the way, is adding additional walls such as hallway through existing bedroom going to make me dig deeper into the hip pockets? I know this question would be an estimate and is dependant upon heaps of variables, but peace of mind that $150k would cover this job with reasonable ease is my major query... I have no idea on the cost - but if I had to answer it, I would say yes, as you are doing a lot yourself.
