Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Jordan Springs East? 432May 29, 2017 7:36 pm Yes all, very frustrating isn't it? We think something is happening then delays, delays, delays. We all need to complain to Lend Lease on their feedback page. Honestly I have never known a company that does not know how to communicate. They mail urgent action letters to purchasers through Australia Post. I have told them Australia post takes 1 week to get a letter using standard mail and have asked them to express post letters instead. Do you think they care??? Nope they don't. Re: Anyone building in Jordan Springs East? 434May 30, 2017 7:08 pm josh_040 Has anyone been able to avoid, reduce or negotiate tender extensions with their builder due to the delays with Lend Lease? Nope. We have been paying tender extensions for 3 months already and will continue until the day our slab is laid. Were told we could let the tender lapse and retender when the land was registered but the difference between costs now and when we tendered back in October last year was 15k+ so has been cheaper to pay the tender extension fees each month. Re: Anyone building in Jordan Springs East? 435May 30, 2017 9:08 pm josh_040 Has anyone been able to avoid, reduce or negotiate tender extensions with their builder due to the delays with Lend Lease? We have paid a extra month already as not expecting our build to start before tender runs out end of Sep, so paid a month to cover till end Oct. As we got our solicitor involved our builder agreed to give us an extra month added until end Nov at no extra cost, so our builder only came to the party I think cause we paid a month ourselves. However, if construction doesn't start by end Nov we keep paying. We're in stage 2, so really hoping build does start by Nov. Re: Anyone building in Jordan Springs East? 436May 31, 2017 1:57 pm I am so over this waiting for the subdivision to come out of Council and getting told a lot of BS by the Lendlease people. Just tell us why it is taking so long. Be realistic in what you are telling your buyers and don't feed false expectations. Just tell us why it is taking so long. Be realistic in what you are telling your buyers and don't feed false expectations. We felt the same way. Its taken nearly 10 months to get to settlement stage. If we knew it was going to take this long back when we bought in Sept we nay have thought twice about it.
