Looking so nice. Congrats on being locked out I love your facade!! Nice big windows. Thanks. It was originally a floor to ceiling window but thought it would look a bit better with a bottom border. Our sales agent recommended making it a corner window as it sort of looks down the street to a park. He came up with the idea after visiting our block to come up with some design ideas. Good to see the shelving in the scullery pantry. The only problem is they don't have the tiles we selected for our splashback selection in stock. They admitted it was their stuff up and Smart Homes placed the order months ago but none were set aside. Now due to a stock shortage they can't fulfil the order. Now we have to head back to the tiler to pick out a new tile. Thankfully there's no problems with any of our other selections and it wasn't something major like our floor tile selection. The painters are apparently progressing inside and the cabinets are scheduled to be installed early next week. Also they want to book us in for a tile meeting next week but at the moment they want to do it early morning which we are unlikely going to be able to attend unless we can reschedule to the afternoon. They also sent us a photo of the house with the front render complete and painted. Looking forward to seeing it all done with the front door painted and the garage door in place (eventually) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our build thread with Smart Homes for Living in Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86092 Re: First timers - Smart Homes for Living in Wellard 194Jun 10, 2017 3:01 pm Went back to the tile centre today to pick out the new splashback tiles. The close match they suggested had a bit of a pink tinge in it so ended up with something completely different. I think I actually prefer the new selection anyway so guess it worked out for the best Gonna go push our noses up against the glass again and check out the front render in person but won't put any photos up. I'd be really cranky if I had to rechoose tile because it was stressful enough the first time. Have you booked your tile meeting yet? We've got ours this Thursday with our new supervisor but they haven't said the reason for the change of supervisors. Hoping to duck out of work early though and will work from the folks place which is closer to the block and I won't have to battle as much traffic. There will be some cut tiles in places and some other small things but was happy with the decisions made by the builder. It's really zooming along. Our supervisor said our PCI meeting will be 5 - 6 weeks from now! It's gone a lot faster than we expected. Managed so snap a couple of photos of the cabinets and stuff as well as the floor tiles that are going in the bathrooms and laundry.
