Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 22, 2018 6:14 pm Another week of phone calls and emails, another week of let downs by WH. It is almost 12 months since we approached Wisdom to build our home and 30 weeks since signing our contract and still our home is just a bit of dirt. Promised our construction plans by COB today and received nothing, not even an email to say they had been delayed. In the six weeks since DA approval we have had two draft end panels, a variation error by 15K in their favour (thank god we queried it) which took 3 weeks to get fixed, plans which now seem to be missing blade walls to stairs we put in at tender stage and numerous broken promises. They state on their website 10 to 20 weeks to site but can’t seem to get us to site in 30 plus weeks. I am beginning to think that they don’t have the trades to start our build and rather than disclose this they stall by whatever means they can. Given the number of errors which have occurred with drafting I am concerned we are going to have the same problems if we proceed with this build. We are therefore considering engaging a building inspector to inspect the build at various stages. Can anyone recommend an inspector and do Wisdom allow inspectors on site? Hi Michelle, You have my email address. Please feel free to email me directly if you want to escalate, discuss and resolve your concerns. I am happy to meet next week to discuss face to face if that suits you. Regards Mark Live Your Way Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3Jun 22, 2018 9:46 pm So sad to see such delays. I don’t think I’ve read about one person that has been happy with the administration phase. I’m not looking at building with wisdom (I couldn’t deal with this!) but I do like to read about everyone’s builds, I hope they pull their finger out and start buiding your dream home soon. Posts like these dont do them any favours. Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted.
