Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 104May 08, 2017 11:27 am Jessiej Week 12, still no frames! What a joke! Still can't find carpenters. Maybe if they paid more there wouldn't be such a shortage. Arghh feeling very frustrated today. Oh no, thats terrible i was hoping you had good news when i saw your new post. It must be so frustrating!! Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 105May 08, 2017 11:29 am Oh hun i really feel for you i bet you cant wait to get that baby settled into a nursery in your own place!! Its really not acceptable you should be getting close to the end but you havnt even really started! Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 106May 08, 2017 11:49 am I guess what's most frustrating is that we don't even have a timeframe. It's not like they are saying yep, it's delayed but we will have someone onsite in two weeks and they will get done. There's just no one to do it! That's what I said to my husband, some builds only take 3 months haha and we are already at that point and don't even have frames. I know it will all work out in the end, just annoying seeing nothing done. Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 112May 17, 2017 1:06 pm Just did a drive by and we have frames going up! Couldn't get a photo, felt a bit awkward with heaps of people around haha but finally! Might go back around later today and see how much he managed to get done Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 113May 17, 2017 2:22 pm Woo hoo! Frames! At least they kept their promise Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 115May 17, 2017 6:07 pm Im so excited for you I still remember the excitement from frame as it was only a few weeks ago for us lol Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 116May 17, 2017 6:28 pm Wow, all done in a day?! Super speedy fun trades you have there GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 118May 17, 2017 7:00 pm Yes all in a day, was only a slab there this morning. So impressed with what they got done! No didn't get to walk through, just had a quick peak through the fence, will check it out on the weekend though! Can't wait! Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 119May 17, 2017 7:13 pm Yay frames!! Finally be able to get moving! Is there a reason it has taken awhile to get to this stage? Only asking as our site was cut the day after you! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85653&p=1642230#p1642230 Re: First home, Coral Homes, Santorini 25mkII 120May 17, 2017 7:30 pm H Family Build Yay frames!! Only asking as our site was cut the day after you! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85653&p=1642230#p1642230 There were problems getting the frames, a delay from the company or something. They got delivered after two weeks and have just sat there since then. Then they weren't able to get any carpenters so they have been trying to chase one up. (pay more and there might be more willing to work for coral!!!) They managed to convince this guy to do ours, he normally doesn't come up this way. It's certainly been frustrating seeing no progress. Hopefully things are about to change! In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1679 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13718 11 40631 |
