Construction methods are a bit different on your build to ours so I'm not going to comment on that but after a few issues with our first build, the problems I see with new builds in my line of work (I handle home insurance claims) and given the huge financial investment of building a house I definitely see a lot of value in doing inspections. Just make sure you choose a reputable registered builder because unsure if other states have requirements on building inspectors but in WA you don't even have to be a registered builder which is going to reflect in the quality of your inspections.
