Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 169Jun 24, 2017 4:45 pm H Family I am following along hoping we get settled by Wednesday can not wait to see yours come together. You said you got a mirror splash back was this extra? Yes, mirror was $1584 for in the kitchen. But we took it out of the walk in pantry and replaced it with tile. This saved us $627. Was $2211 all up if we wanted in both areas. Follow our Build: viewtopic.php?t=85959 Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 170Jul 08, 2017 1:45 pm We have a toilet!!!! Bought matching bath mats, face washers and hand towels. Will be the first time we've had matching sets. I can't wait to bust them out! Retaining walls are still an unknown at this stage. He advised he will know more after the site cut and slab. Site cut is booked for tomorrow and slab is scheduled for late next week. We have to go back to Coral to see about our solar install with an outside contractor as we were told this was up to him to approve, but it's not. Here's a pic of our sign. I'm not sure about coral when it comes to the block cut and fill. My block was pretty flat with a gradual almost spot on fall for water run off from the back to the front of the block. Yet they jacked the cut/fill sum in my tender up by about $3k for "additional fill" and had suggested we needed 1.2m of batter around the house. $3k worth of extra fill! Anyway I queried it, the estate's developer told them they were ripping me off, another builder offered to look at my block and thought it wouldn't be needed, and everntually coral came back and took $2k out of the price because it turned out they didn't need that much fill. Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 178Jul 12, 2017 9:09 am How exciting!! We had our site cut 1 month ago today and they are at the stage of putting in the windows and electrical and plumbing rough ins. Coral are super-fast! We have to wait to get our solar put in until after handover. Coral really doesn't like external contractors onsite. We have to go through a huge drama just to get out shed finished and that was 40 metres away from the house. There was the issue of liability insurance and the contractor having to supply documents etc. We had solar also installed after handover with our last build and it wasn't any huge drama.
