Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 08, 2016 5:00 pm Hi All, We are just about to build a home on bearers and joist (we have to build up to raise our floor level as we are in a flood zone). Just wondering if anyone else has done this and not put an access door in? It seems like it is something the builder has to do so that trades, plumbers etc can get under the house. We told our builders and they just drew one in as I think it is regulation. We are in Sydney.
We now want to put in a much taller door as we can actually fit a bigger one.
