Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 08, 2016 11:07 am It was terrible incident happened at my home, when I was in sleep in the morning I heard some glass pump sound, and got up suddenly came and looked in Kitchen and saw my range hood glass canopy fell off from the wall and made damages to my glass cooktop, thank GOD! no one is heart. My whole cook top glass is broken which I can see it, Upon contacting my Building Insurance Company, I was advised that they are not going to cover for this because it is classified as: 1. Maintenance and building – defects in design, structure, materials, workmanship or construction 2. Wear and tear, and environmental conditions – wear and tear, gradual deterioration, or fading Upon many attempts, I’m unable to get hold of my Builder which is very frustrating and annoying. Even BACV tried to contact builder but no luck. It's been few weeks we are not cooking at home and having pretty much junk food outside. I have 2 kids. I have build my house APR 2011. Can anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?
