We have an electricity box! We have drains! we have piers! And on Saturday they will be pouring our slab! The pics are dark because I insisted on going out there even though there was no light because I wanted to see what I could before the lay the slab! (I know they are terrible photos but there was limited lighting and I was so excited!) Boxing is done ready for slab pour in the morning. No messing around with these guys now. And the slab engineer was there checking out the prep so we had a minute to talk to him before the sky opened up and it poured! I had to hide in a half build house! Still weighing up whether I be creepy and set up a camping chair to watch the pour tomorrow or not... But we got an invoice for the "Base" stage today so I sure hope that means we have a slab now. They sure are quick when they want money. Still haven't had contact with our site super tho.... As long as things keep happening, I'm good with this Building in Stone Ridge with CMA - Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85842 Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 86Apr 27, 2017 1:24 pm Posting to follow Your plan is very similar to mine (almost a flipped version of mine ) I haven't seen many houses partitioned into 3 areas (left, centre and right) and I doubted myself but mine came out really good... It gives the house more spacious feel... Wish you the best with your building journey!!! Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 87Apr 27, 2017 1:30 pm Ours isn't partitioned as much as I really would have liked but I do love the spacious feeling. I should have much more of an idea of floor space later this arvo because I'm informed we now have a slab (!!!) Thanks for following along. Sometimes I feel like I'm just blabbering madly to myself Building in Stone Ridge with CMA - Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85842 Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 88Apr 27, 2017 2:03 pm funny thing is, you will be worried about the space after seeing the slab (we all did)... The slab always looks small... especially small rooms like wc and bathroom will look cramped...lol but you will have a better idea when the frames go up and then the rooms will look small once plastered and will look all right when the fittings go in... Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 89Apr 27, 2017 3:16 pm Slab porn via text message!! Disappointed to see some little sh!ts rode their bike through our drying slab after I left Thursday evening! The only comfort is that it's in a place that will be tiled. Sad, these kids (and at times the grown-ups) don't understand the consequence of "fun" things they do... Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 92May 02, 2017 12:42 pm Quick meeting of introduction with the site supervisor today. He gave a timeline of events which was nice to have it all laid out! This is the only photo I could get because the half naked guys kept getting in the way of the photo! I love the colour we chose. Not too dark, not too light. Hopefully the rest comes together nicely! Retaining walls and fencing still seem to be a pain in the backside and the cause of much frustration and anxiety!! It's too far out to finalize plans or get answers but too close not to start planning. It looks fab! What colour did you pick, is that Wallaby? I can't remember your selections but I know our colours are very similar and I have a Wallaby garage door, but Surfmist roof. I'm off to meet SS today and I've got my fingers crossed that I, too, will have a lid Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 97May 12, 2017 9:38 am scubabe Squeeeeeeeee!!!! It looks fab! We had bats at our old place so wasn't very keen on the guano on a lighter roof! Good luck with SS. Can anyone tell me, do they put the switch/PowerPoints directly over the metal plating in the wall or is this not set in stone? Some look very low (including the fridge...)
