We got out today and the tilers were finishing the front and back grouting and niches. Should be the end of tiling until the benchtops are installed then the splashbacks can be applied I'm loving the colours in person. I didn't realize the pantry corners would be dead space but more will come to light when the shelving and stone goes in. The kitchen looks lovely, the colour of the kitchen cabinets is fab!! I'm glad you got a resolution for the sarking, doesn't replace the sarking but at least they came to the party. Funny what withholding does. Also your front door is gorgeous!!! Will it be stained? Will it be stained? Thanks Charlie. Our front door will be stained merbau. Hopefully it happens this week with the painting scheduled. We are hoping the stain matches the letterbox pretty closely... Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 135Jul 03, 2017 3:22 pm Would I recommend my builder to anyone. The answer is a big fat no. Today has been the worst day yet and I can't wait for this entire process to be done and to never have to deal with them again! Building our forever home! Hopefully you'll be in soon. I'm tired. I'm stressed to the eyeballs and the bunch of incompetent morons that work for them are becoming experts at saying one thing and doing the complete opposite. Months ago they told me they would do everything regarding the neighbouring property and the fencing and retaining. Now today (when fencing is scheduled for TOMORROW), they tell me that they don't and have not done any of that. Despite calling them out on it, they could not care less. My husband has been calling the neighbours builder, been into the estate office, leaving voicemails with everyone! He is now in their head office trying to speak with the director. I've had to ask him to do all that because I can't string a sentence for the life of me that doesn't contain cuss words or threats. I just hate l!ars. I hate poor communication and I hate poor customer service. And today they have made me cranky enough that they are ticking all these boxes. I'm just done with it all. And I'm getting sick. Building is fun, they said! I just have to remind myself it will all be worth it in the end! Until then, a few more days rocking myself softly in the corner might help Building our forever home! And the 'we'll take care of it' attitude, but they don't take care of anything!! I hope it gets sorted soon Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 139Jul 04, 2017 10:01 am I totally agree with you! I would never recommend our builder to anyone either, they're absolutely rubbish and constantly backtracking on things they've said and you find out all these surprises right at the end that you were supposed to know about ages ago, but of course when you questioned them ages ago they told you one thing and now they're telling you another... they are the masters of deceit and I am so frikkin over the whole thing. You know when I had to escalate that thing to the CEO two weeks ago? I have STILL not had any response. Not a text or a reply or anything to say he's even read my email. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. FROM THEIR FRIKKIN CEO!!!! Who else can I possibly raise my repeated concerns and issues with? There is nobody higher. And he cannot be arsed to take 2 minutes to reply to my email. He has absolutely proven beyond all doubt, that the company as a whole do not give a flying hoot about their customers, or customer service in any way. We just have 5 more weeks to... just hold on to that. Re: Building with Homes by CMA - Ascot 260 140Jul 04, 2017 3:47 pm I have also had issues with CMA today! They have screwed up my tiling and niches and then have out right l!ed about it and just told me 'it's not finished' - then don't send me invoices for my money then if it is not finished. I also have a whole week this week of them doing nothing on my house because they have over booked people on other sites. I don't know about you guys, but I am a 25 (just turned 25 last month) single female building my first house and this is definitely the most stressed I have been. Must be so much better with a partner on days like today Good luck guys! Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
