Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 182Jan 30, 2018 3:08 pm No I called him on Monday and he’s response was I don’t know I don’t work for the council then I called the council today and they told me that so I would just before to go to someone more superior then David cause he obviously dosent care Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 183Jan 30, 2018 4:16 pm They’re so lazy it really has become a joke. My google review after this settles is going to be AMAZING! to say the least. As I have repeated told David to receive an email stating they haven’t heard anything yet is far better then feeling forgotten and pushed aside. It was his words to my husband saying this was their smaller project so they just tendered cheap contractors they hadn’t used before. We really need to kick up a stint now before it gets to the two year mark of us all purchasing and the developer having rights to cancel Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 184Jan 30, 2018 6:03 pm Thanks for contacting Council directly. With these outstanding items - we should at the very least persist in asking for an update from David on each of these items, that's what I will do. I assume that Council engineers (first item) are awaiting sign off from the service authorities before signing off themselves. But I'm lost as to why the fees and contributions aren't paid yet. These all seem trivial and only require someone to be chasing up. Lets keep the pressure on David. 1. Practical completion sign off from councils engineers 2. Sign off from service authorities 3. Fees and contributions to be paid Zaki Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 186Jan 30, 2018 8:07 pm Just looking at these things though sign off from service authorities, that may be Yarra valley water etc who have to sign off on infrastructure that has been developed. I would think payment may take a little while as it will be filtered through trusts and solicitors. I was expecting it to take about 3 weeks at council and 4 weeks at titles Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 187Jan 30, 2018 8:10 pm Hey alysha council said Yarra valley water have signed off on the works it was the electricity company who hadn’t signed off yet. That being the case then we where never going to get titles proceed in feb which David has stated time and time again that we would have titles in feb? Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 188Jan 30, 2018 8:16 pm I am just wondering how come their solicitor told our solicitor that their client is lodging the plan of subdivision early to mid Feb, and then settlement will be in next 14 days. We can't trust any of them anymore. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 190Jan 30, 2018 8:22 pm Yes I heard from my loan guys at the moment the titles office is smashing out titles with a timeframe of 4-8 days if we can get there we should be able to get permits and start soon we just have to get to titles office Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 191Jan 31, 2018 7:02 am FYI response below from David which seems mostly reasonable. With regards to item 2, my opinion is that Moremac could do more in chasing them up, eg. a call/email every now and then to see if there was anything holding them up.. From experience, chasing up seems pointless at first but it gets people moving. Item 1: What they are referring to, is that after their visual inspection, the engineers then review the plans and the construction test and Inspection reports and other documentation to check that it has been built to the plans and the required specifications. It is dependent upon the speed at which Council processes things, and their current workloads / resources, completeness of paperwork submitted. This is currently underway. Item 2: Is the third party Authorities (water / sewer / gas / NBN) the speed of their replies are beyond our control Item 3: A little surprised to see, I did believe that these have all been paid. I will need to check and confirm. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 192Jan 31, 2018 8:58 am Hey guys I too got an email this morning... more along the lines of go away and leave me alone. Hopefully Duncan can pull his finger out and put pressure where it’s needed. I’m sure moremac is also stringing the owners on and their solicitors are only going off what David has told them Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 194Jan 31, 2018 2:05 pm No he doesn't give a date. He is just saying that it depends on the council's workload. But I believe he doesn't do any followup, otherwise he would know about the pending tasks from council's view such as the fees and contribution. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 196Jan 31, 2018 2:57 pm Hey guys Just got of the phone to Duncan and he said that they have know paid all outstanding fees, have spoken to the electric people has that’s the only company left outstanding yarravaleky water, nbn have all signed off. And he said that they find some problems with the electric work that need to be fixed and then after that’s done and signed of it’s up to the concil engineers to sign of on the letter of compliance he is hoping next week sometime. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 199Jan 31, 2018 10:05 pm Hi Tigz1993 Just a question, Did Duncan tell you that the electricity problem will be fixed by next week or he was hoping that council issue the certificate by next week? Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 200Jan 31, 2018 10:08 pm Hi Hhome He was hoping that tomorrow the electricity problem would be fixed if not Friday (however the company that have to fix it are the original contractors the ones that they got rid off cause they weren’t doing the work) and he was hoping to have the letter of compliance by next week.
