Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 29, 2016 2:10 pm I signed up with my builder 12 months ago and $12,000 was allocated for site costs. I was told the site costs were fixed. After 12 or more months of trying to find a floorplan to fit on my narrow block and fixing the draftspersons mistakes I have finally chosen my colours and upgrades. At my tender the salesperson told me $12000 was fixed and would be allocated across the required items for the build. Now the builder is telling me I need to pay just over $21,000 for a 23 square single story home in Victoria! The builder says I need a H2 slab with a pier. I am a single 26 year old with no idea about site costs etc and feel like I am being used and abused by this company. Could someone please please please shed some light about this? Am I being ripped off? What can I do? Regional Qld. Hope that helps a little.
Edit - this amount is on top of S rating allowance Re: Site costs for H1 soil- Marshall, Victoria 3Nov 29, 2016 5:55 pm Our slab costs were 36g for a 34 square house with 84 piers. If in doubt ask for a price break down. Also did they have a provisional sum for you site costs??
