We're in the process of getting quotes for a new build. We want weatherboard/cladding. A builder has quoted us extra to use weatherboard instead of brick on the same plan. About 3.5-4K.
I'm surprised by this. Surely it's not more expensive in terms of material and labour to build a weatherboard house as opposed to brick?
It's also a rural build so transport of materials to the site is a factor.
