Get on top of it or they will keep yanking the chain Building in Stone Ridge with CMA - Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85842 Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 24Jun 02, 2017 12:42 pm zacherine Bit of an update, laughing at myself thinking we would be in our home in July. Slab will be poured Friday, 9 June 2017!!!! Will post some pics next weekend It's finally happening though! Things will start happening quickly once that slab is laid! It's super exciting! This time next week you will have your foundations laid Building in Stone Ridge with CMA - Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85842 Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 26Jun 09, 2017 6:42 pm Yayyyy Building in Stone Ridge with CMA - Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85842 Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 27Jun 12, 2017 11:41 am Con-slab-ulations Great to see some progress for you! I must admit I had a giggle at your initial hope to be in by July. Me, I started looking back in June 2016... and I honestly thought I'd be in before Xmas! hahahahaha oh good lord! My land didn't even register until February I will be in by August though, so only 14 months from the very beginning of my research, so that hasn't been too bad! Are you going to post up your colour selections? Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 29Jun 12, 2017 12:44 pm scubabe Con-slab-ulations Great to see some progress for you! Are you going to post up your colour selections? Thanks scubabe Been waiting for pics of your place but can understand how life gets in the way sometimes. Unfortunately for us it was the bank dragging things out but we finally started. As you can see everyone else is basically up and finished so we are lagging a little bit And our colour selections, I didn't get a cute flat lay of all the materials/colours together like everyone else seems to do but here is a list haha. External: Front Door: 820mm Corinthian INF8G - Light Oak Stain Render: Haymes Spatial (front and side returns) Feature Brick Pillars: Urban One Pepper with Off White Mortar Rest of House: Urban One Pepper with Natural Grey Mortar (standard) Garage Door: Casurina Natural Roof/Gutters/Downpipes - Colorbound Monument Windows - Ultra Black Internal: Laminate: Oak Century Soaped Vintage Texture Carpets (bedrooms): That's Bliss Half Moon Wall Paint: Haymes Aura Kitchen Bench: Quantum Quartz Luna White Kitchen Cupboards: Artisan Oak Splashback: Window with white subway tiles surrounds WIR Built in Tallboy: Artisan Oak Cabinet with Tornado Top Study Nook: Quantum Quartz Luna White Bench Top Bathrooms/Ensuite Floor Tile: Lifestyle Charcoal 400x400 Wall Tile: Siderun Gloss White 250 x 400 Benchtops: Quantum Quartz Tornado Cupboards: Artisan Oak Laundry: Benchtop: Quantum Quartz Luna White Floor Tile: Lifestyle Charcoal 400 x 400 Laundry Splashback: Unite White Gloss 200 x 400 The only thing I am second guessing is our choice of laminate for kitchen cabinets. I feel it might be a bit full on with the timber laminate floor. Other than that, kept it pretty neutral although I hope I do not get bored with the palette. Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 30Jun 12, 2017 1:14 pm I don't think you'll get bored, I've just been googling some of your selections and I think they should work really well together. I've also gone with a very neutral palette and will do colour pops with furnishings and artwork. Your wall colour seems quite close to mine so will be good to see it up. It's so frustrating for someone like me who's not design-centric, I have no idea if my selections will all work together... fingers crossed we're both ecstatic with our choices! Well you should be in before we are so have to copy some of your fabrics and furnishings you choose x-) I now know that wall prints and art are quite exxy!! Have to have bare walls for a while. I am not very good with design either and homewares don't really excite me... Maybe once our place is up it will. In other news, we made our first house purchase today... Voila pots and pans!! I sobbed when I walked through my wrapped frame with a roof on it... all of a sudden it went from being a slab and some studs, to being an actual house Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 34Jun 25, 2017 9:18 am scubabe Yaaaaaaaaay looking good! It still doesn't feel real!! Although the rear boulder wall doesn't feel very big anymore. Hopefully our windows and doors arrive this week x-) Do you have a completion date yet?
