Mine has opaque Hey scubabe, yeah clear glass so gotta make sure I am fully clothed I was meant to walk through the door yesterday but forgot !!! There is always next week luckily Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 42Jul 03, 2017 11:42 am Oh nooooooo that the got the height of the door wrong! Thank goodness you checked. So many things we need to double-check, it's frustrating. My theory is : the SS and builders don't need to live in it, so they don't care if they get it right or not. Only close monitoring and checking by us as owners will allow the house to be exactly as we wanted it. Hope they get a resolution for you quickly on this one. Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 43Jul 03, 2017 3:54 pm Frame is getting checked by Site Supervisor tomorrow so hopefully he can sort it all out. It's funny how we are not supposed to be on site but imagine if we didn't go?? It would cost them more $$$ later down the track to fix it. Do we need to print the plans and stick them to the walls? We were told plasterers will start later this week and the brickies starting early next week. Progress is progress I guess Re: First Home Buyer/Builder - Narangba Qld 44Jul 05, 2017 1:15 pm zacherine It's funny how we are not supposed to be on site but imagine if we didn't go?? I've got power points and data points and downlights missing in my house... seriously do they really want us to not pick up on this stuff as they go? It makes so much more sense to let us onsite to do walk-throughs every now and then so we can pick up on problems quickly. After all, we are the ones who agonised over stone colours and tile selections and painstakingly thought out our electrical and networking plans... so we can pick up on these things so much faster than they can! I think our floors will be after paint then, now just have to sit and wait I had a reliable source advise me the render is going on the front, so the outside works are going ahead and then maybe they can issue their enclosed invoice. We will probably get enclosed and fixing invoice on the same day. Would love to get an estimate soon, end of September would be awesome! First Home Build - Narangba Qld 59Aug 27, 2017 6:15 pm gr8ly your house is looking great zacherine - love the selections, and your facade has a strong street appeal. Love the modern contemporary aesthetic how high are your ceilings? Thanks gr8ly, just followed your thread!! I am eagerly waiting on the laminate floor to be laid!!! Funny you say that, there are actually a few of the same houses in our estate - but everyone has their different takes on colours/materials so hopefully no more pop up Ceilings are 2700, really happy with them - for a small home it makes it feel big. But come summer time I will see how the cooling efficiency is thought so - it looks super high! im really glad we upgraded the height too. We are renting a queenslander at the moment, and they have incredibly high ceilings and it definitely feels like you are in a huge space. meanwhile that sucks! but it's probably cause the facade looks awesome. In saying that we have a similar facade lol... That's the issue with new estates i guess... everyone is building around the same time and with the same builders and options available to them - there's always bound to be others the same.. as long as they arent on the same street... noone will notice. the interior though will always be different.
