Heya D thanks mate!
Sorry for late reply. The comment notifications have stopped coming through to my phone. Didn't realize that anyone had posted comments.
No we got the TV Unit with panels from a local furniture maker out west called Goldenwood Furniture. Check them out. We were very impressed with them.
Thanks a ton mate. It looks stunning

So we are finally in! Hasn't really sunk in yet. Feels like a dream.
Still chasing up a load of things. Our LED downlights and Saturn Zen light switches haven't been delivered, some of our Automated Roller Blinds and Tru View Window Tint couldn't be installed due to windows being scratched at some point by trade staff and needing replacing, Landscaping in the pipe, Solar Panels delayed, etc.
But we got some furniture delivered and installed in the open living area today. Still need some holes cut in the TV unit to hide the cable runs. And the chairs won't arrive for another 2 weeks. But the open living area is almost done. Night pics might not do it justice, but they should at least give a decent representation of how it looks in the room.
Looking awesome mate. Congratulations.
After some excruciating prolonged delay in land release, we will be settling on the land next week and Metricon promised to commence construction around the end of the month. We have also chosen Savannah 34 but a bit different to your design.
If you can share, can you let us know around how much you spent on furniture as we have started thinking about it but have no idea how much to budget for it.

I read your post start to end today and was so impressed with the end result . Love the bricks, kitchen and wall colour choices !! Hope you have moved in by now . Many Congratulations to you.
I am building Savannah34 as well and just finished my colour and electrical last week. Now I have 1week to make whatever changes I want to.
I had a question regarding the staircase lighting. In your pics I can see something hanging off the ceiling of your staircase. Is that a baton or something else? I was told they cannot provide any light points on staircase ceiling due to some technical constraints.
Can you please confirm.
Also what category carpets did you select...didn't find any info about that throughout the thread.
Good stuff mate. We too are building a Savannah 34 in QLD. Unfortunately our land release got delayed. Where are you building?

We’re on the Sunshine Coast and about to start building the Savannah 34 and wondered if you found any good inspection companies?
Hi, I just joined this forum. We are planning at building a Savannah 34 in QLD, our first home. Just wanted see what made you go for Savannah 34 and Metricon. We like the design but sometimes still wonder whether we are making the best decision. Any thoughts would really help us.
We spent approx 4 years researching online utilising resources such as the HomeOne forums and also the ProductReview website. And we went back and forth to the Kellyville Homeworld display village checking out various homes and talking with staff. Eventually we narrowed it down to 3 builder's; Metricon, Rawson and Alkira Homes.
Of these, Metricon's Savannah 34 was the most ideal for our lifestyle and suitable for our block. And after going back and forth for 4 years to all the display homes, we came to prefer Metricon's finishing touches and upgrade options. Plus at the time we decided to sign up, Metricon were running some really nice promotions.
In the end, I guess it comes down to your preferences and findings. It isn't an easy decision by any means. You can research until you are blue in the face and still be having second thoughts (that was us). But eventually you just need to make that decision to go for it.
Hope that helps. Oh and also if you don't have extensive experience in the building trades... whoever you decide to build with, be sure to enlist the services of an independent inspection agency for peace of mind. We went with Houspect ourselves.
Woah, 4 years - wow. Thank you for the detailed response. We are leaning towards the Savannah 34 but will make a final decision in the coming weeks.
The other point is we kind of want to go with the Aspire facade - mainly due to the additional cost of others. There is no Savannah display home here in QLD. Wished we could've seen a built facade so we can have some peace of mind that we made the right choice.
Thank you too for the tip of an independent inspection agency. Don't ythink Houspect is in QLD. Need to find a good agency here.
Exciting times for you - all the best.
