I feel like I haven't been on here in ages! The house is great, it's amazing how homely it feels. We are both so blessed to be in a position to call such a beautiful home ours at a young age, but in saying that we've worked our butts off for it too! Haha We are at the 'decorating' stage now, where we have most of our big items (minus outdoor furniture) and we're just on the lookout for those personal touches to add character and pops of colour We finally completed our landscaping a few weeks ago. It's so nice to look outside and see green grass as opposed to dirt and clay haha After searching every rug store on the Gold Coast, we finally settled on this one: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Couch Turf: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our view from patio - neighbour's deck Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ View inside Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Updated front yard photo Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Neighbour's house is going up so quick! I would really love to plant a single foxtail palm in the corner of the backyard near our patio to liven it up a bit, and also give some privacy from our neighbours behind/next to us. Our neighbour is building with Integra Homes. I haven't met the owners yet but my other neighbour has. I hope next door will be owner occupied. We got lucky with our current neighbours on the other side of us - lovely older couple who we get on with really well! How is your build going? Thank you! I'm actually thinking of painting the front pillar a dark colour to add a bit of contrast but not sure yet. I like it the way it is, but I can see why you might want some contrast. If it was a double pillar I'd say do it.. but the single one might look odd... although you can always paint it back if you dont like it. We chose 'Palladium Perle' and absolutely love it it's such a beautiful shimmery silver colour. In some lights it throws a blueish silvery tinge but usually just silvery. Very neutral colour and would highly recommend. Also doesn't show up marks as easily as some darker colours I've seen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Follow my build - Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 579Oct 21, 2018 9:04 pm Hi everyone! Here is a little house update. I can hardly believe that we moved in 19 months ago!! Exterior: we decided to tint all our windows for extra privacy and to keep the house cooler in summer.
