I've been sending emails with no replies GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Seriously, I am sure the owner of GJ Gardner has better things to do... Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 42Oct 27, 2016 8:15 pm goldcoasthome charlibear Nice floor plan!! Hubby and I have been to hall mark homes display homes and it was really clever the way the did it because they had a "naked" home and then next to it was a home with all the bells and whistles so you could see the potential of their homes as well. Following along GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Hi Charliebear! I feel like I know you because I've seen your name pop up in so many threads that I've been following haha I agree! It's one of the things that definitely made us feel confident with choosing hallmark. Everything was really transparent regarding inclusions and our sales consultant was really genuine with his advice re: where to spend money on upgrades and which items probably could wait until after in order to save money. We still upgraded many things in the kitchen and bathrooms but at least we knew what we were getting as standard Stroud homes also builds their displays to standard inclusions which is great! Definitely would have been our second pick! I have my fingers crossed for your paperwork/start date comes your way soon!! There is nothing worse than having to sit and wait when you're eager to get started hey. Follow my build - Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t Hehe yes I follow a lot of threads on That's one thing I didn't really like about our builder is it's not transparent, I honestly have no idea how much things are individually, it was just bundled up into one quote. I really loved the display home we walked through, I think it was a modified horizon 268 but it was unreal. It was the bells and whistles display home but a lot of things were still standard it was really only the kitchen that was upgraded. GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 43Oct 27, 2016 8:20 pm We loved GJ gardener quality and reputation but once we added the standard inclusions we wanted (e.g. Higher ceilings, security screens, ceiling fans etc) we could no longer afford it In the end though as long as we all end up with a home that we love and is functional for our lifestyles, then none of those little details will really matter (that's what I'm telling myself anyway haha) Follow my build - Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 44Oct 27, 2016 8:30 pm GJ do seem to be on the pricey end, we had other quotes but went with GJ for their quality. The overall style hubby and I want to achieve is industrial chic but with 'homey/cozy' features (e.g. Rugs etc). And that's our couch We put it on lay by with the matching 2 and 3 seater - they've got good lay by terms so we're just paying it off bit by bit until our house is built and we actually have somewhere to put it haha No way really!? That's awesome! I was worried I would change my mind with our colour scheme but the more I look at it the more and more I love it I fell in love with this lounge towards the start of the year, and then when I went into the store to look and 'test it out' I was completely sold! It's SOOOO comfy I didn't want to get up haha. Lay by is a great idea! We have saved up our money for big items like white goods and main furniture pieces in the hopes of getting some cash discounts. Hopefully if we bundle a few items together it is more enticing for them to give us a good deal! Lol Who are you building with and where abouts? Originally hubby and i were told that we would not need any retaining walls on our block. However since earthworks have been completed, it looks as though we might need some concrete sleepers along the side of our block as our neighbours seem higher than us. What do you think? Keeping in mind their block hasn't had earthworks completed yet either so it might change.
