Browse Forums Building A New House Re: GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 144Apr 05, 2017 7:20 pm You have some amazing workers, both days they have still been there at 6 getting all the walls up! I got excited that the two blocks between have started building. I was worried that we would be settled in for a year then be woken constantly by noisy trucks Re: GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 145Apr 05, 2017 7:41 pm We didn't get out there yesterday so weren't sure what they had done but so happy to get out there tonight and see all the Hebel up! The plaster boards have been delivered too so I'm guessing they will go up tomorrow! Went out tonight after work and most of the plaster work has been done! Roof has been put up throughout, and the walls have been done to the garage, ensuite, laundry, main bathroom, bed 2, 3 & 4, activity room and hallway, with the main bedroom, living/dining/kitchen, toilet and media to go! Our cavity slider to the pantry has gone in, and the extra support for the towel rails also put up. Thanks to it coming into winter and not being able to get there until after 6pm, we won't have many photos to upload until it gets to the weekend Re: GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 150Apr 10, 2017 1:09 pm Wow those posts out the front of your house look great! Can I ask where you got the acoustic soundproofing from? Do you just shove it in?? Was it expensive? Bit of a building noob here! Can I ask where you got the acoustic soundproofing from? Do you just shove it in?? Was it expensive? Bit of a building noob here! Haha thanks shellu! We just got the acoustic batts from bunnings. Literally just throw them in and tape them down if they're loose. They cost us $65 each and there were 20 in a packet. We bought 5! I think your bathroom tile looks similar to one that I am considering. Thanks! We'll definitely be adding photos once we have them! I meant to say we bought 3 packs of insulation... Not 5 haha. Overkill! Re: GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 154Apr 15, 2017 11:40 pm Hello Jmart, I just read your thread and I was puzzled as to why it looked so familiar, your in river stone, I used to drive up from Huntington and walk the ovals every morning . Your build is going so well, great time line and the colours are lovely. Looking forward to seeing it progress. Well done on your floor plan, the spaces you moved came up a treat, great idea with the ensuite too. Re: GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 155Apr 17, 2017 3:19 pm Hey Jmart, I was looking at grey paint colours today tossing up between tranquil retreat, snow season or grey pebble half. Then I thought, I wonder what Jmart is having ha ha! What made you decide to go half for snow season? How did you know what half looks like? I've never chosen paint before Re: GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 156Apr 17, 2017 5:46 pm Tribe7 Hello Jmart, I just read your thread and I was puzzled as to why it looked so familiar, your in river stone, I used to drive up from Huntington and walk the ovals every morning . It's a beautiful estate isn't it 😍 We're happy with the modifications we made and it's so exciting seeing it all come together, especially now the walls are up and we can actually walk around it rather than trying to visualize it from the plans. Choosing paint colours was the hardest decision we had to make. I never knew there were so many shades of white and grey! We wanted a bit of colour but nothing too dark, so we were tossing up between snow season and snow season quarter. It was actually our colour consultant that suggested we go snow season half! We haven't seen it 🙊 but we're guessing it's somewhere in the middle and praying it turns out okay 😂 GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 158Apr 17, 2017 6:46 pm I am sure it will turn out great! I definitely need to talk to some sort of colour expert! I am really not sure what colour to go for, sometimes when I look at them for too long they all look blue! I saw this one at a display and loved it, not sure what colour it is. Our floor will be darker though so think it will be too much? It's so hard to picture it all together. I guess it also depends on how much natural light you get in the room as well as how you furnish it. At the end of the day we just went with one and thought wth paint is probably the easiest of all our selections to change later if we hate it haha shellu I am sure it will turn out great!
