Really nice layout ! Must be super excited. Hopefully weather is good!! Re: GJ Gardner - Rosewood 225 Modified - Riverstone Crossing 129Mar 31, 2017 4:41 pm Colour selections: The light grey tile on the left is "Stella" which is our tile throughout, including the main bathroom, toilet and laundry. It's also the tile we've decided to use in our ensuite on 3 of the 4 walls. We've gone with a plain white rectangle tile for our laundry splashback. We've chosen Snow Season half for our walls, and White on White for the skirtings. In the kitchen we've gone with Ocean Foam caesarstone benches with waterfall ends on the island bench. Bottom cupboards are Snowdrift white in gloss, and overhead cupboards are Sublime Teak in riven finish. The front panel on the island bench will also be Sublime Teak in riven finish. We really wanted the Sublime Teak panels to be horizontal but the island bench was just too long and would have to be 2x panels so we went vertical. We wanted a mirror splash back in between where the microwave tower and the pantry are but GJ quoted us over $800 for that so we went with a black subway tile for now and may add the mirror later on. In the bathrooms we've gone with Squareform Fresh Snow Spark finish on the vanities with the Sublime Teak panels in horizontal for the cupboards. We upgraded our tapware to the Alpha Range and basins to "Tapaz round counter top basins" because the standard ones were horrendous haha. Here's a quick overview of what's happened this month: 1st - Energex connection to lot 2nd - Underslab done, pods & steel delivered 6th - Slab poured 14th - Frames up 15th - No work (rain) 16th - Roof trusses 20th - Gutters & fascias (rain) 21st - Scaffolding for roof (rain) 22nd - Roof started (rain) 23rd - No work 24th - Bath & whirly bird delivered 27th - Roof finished, doors & windows delivered 28th - Electrician on site, wiring started 29th - Electrician on site, wiring 30th - RAIN RAIN RAIN 31st - Front door put in, windows started, plumber on site We originally changed from hebel posts in our front porch to timber posts. We found stunning bricks we loved and wanted to make a feature out of, but weren't allowed So we changed back to hebel. We turned up on site one day and noticed 2 timber posts had been delivered - turns out our specs hadn't been updated when we signed off on our updated drawings. We ended up just going with it and keeping the timber posts out front. We've also changed our minds on the tiles for our ensuite. We kept the original charcoal tile for along the floor and continuing up the back wall of the shower, but instead of having a white tile on either side (they couldn't source a 450x450 white tile) we're using our main light grey tile. I'll upload a photo of our colour selections next! I've included our plans showing the update to the ensuite. The niche in the shower was a bit low at 1400 head height so we moved it up to 1600 head height. There is also supposed to be a door on our shower - we're not sure why it says no door? We also had to take out the cavity slider between the master and the WIR so we could put powerpoints on that wall either side of the bed. Hopefully it reduces some of the noise transfer! I do wish we listened to our site supervisor and wore long sleeves and gloves though haha, we're both super itchy! We also put some yellow tongue flooring into the roof (to be secured later) so we can store things up in the roof!
