Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Carlisle Easy Living Peninsula 33 61Nov 10, 2016 7:59 am By the way, anyone signed the full contract already? Are there any tips that would be helpful beforehand? When do you need to tell Carlisle that you will be having an independent inspector? Re: Carlisle Easy Living Peninsula 33 63Nov 11, 2016 7:05 am we already signed ours, hubby did all the reading and asking hehe there are costs mentioned in the hia and specs doc so he confirmed with Carlisle that the tender (fixed total price) supersedes it all.. we also told that we are thinking about having an individual inspector but don't have the details yet.. snapey, were you able to ask what if land title gets delayed? we were told to speak with our co-ordinator as early as possible since it's not our fault to delay (it's not specifically mentioned in contract though so im a bit worried).. our build is expected to start sep2017 while land title on May/June2017 so I'm hoping it will not get delayed.. Ours is fixed price for 12 months. Each month after that we pay $1k (to a maximum of $6k). Our land is supposed to title early October 2017 and we start paying from December 2017 so hopefully it runs on time! Evaporative cooling is $6.5k and is a Brivis Promina P46 which costs $2.1k to purchase. My investigations led me to believe this unit is most effective in 2 bedroom houses. We have deleted it off our contract and will get a unit suited for a 4 bedroom house when we move in. I have already received quotes for upgraded evaporative cooling installation and the upgraded unit will save us money. Re: Carlisle Easy Living Peninsula 33 68Nov 16, 2016 10:53 am Is anyone going to get their contracts reviewed by a lawyer/third party? Are you allowed to remove it? Or do you have to have it as a part of the carlisle package on that house design? Re: Carlisle Easy Living Peninsula 33 74Nov 27, 2016 6:45 pm snapey Jojo2014 Yeah its tricky to know if its really free as they won't say the base without site costs /quote] Yeah we got 'base cost' of our house after they added in estate guidelines, bushfire and airport acoustics so we gave no idea how much the house alone costs In 2015 they were actually giving out the base price list for all their Easy Living houses. Rochester 31 which was later upsized a bit (but still the same floor plan) and renamed to Rutherford 32 had a base price of $234,900. The current Peninsula 33's base price is $5,000 more than Rutherford 32, just to give you some idea. Re: Carlisle Easy Living Peninsula 33 75Jun 28, 2018 7:06 pm HI Jojo I am currently looking between Rutherford32 or Peninsula 33. As there are no display homes not able to decide and how peninsula would arrive once constructed. Do you have any photos post build that you can share?
