I know they do the hills hub but keen to know whether they install the external nbn utility box and/or the internal NTD/connection box or whether these will be a job for nbnco when I connect with a provider. You should be able to see it if you look up at the base of the sink from inside the cupboards under the sink. I saw it there when the sink was installed but I assumed it was temporary (it certainly looks temporary!) before it was sealed properly. Re: Rawson Homes - General Thread 423Nov 23, 2017 6:42 pm What typically happens during on handover day? I presume the SS will run through the PCI defect items and hand over some user manuals. Anything else? Did you guys get any goodies as well? or was it just the keys and some paperwork? Many Thanks Hey - I followed up with our Rawson rep on this who confirmed that nothing would change in relation to our build and that the acquisition simply gives Rawson access to more land, more capital and greater technology in building materials. Apparently there's an official letter going out that explains everything. I haven't received it yet. You have a contract signed to build a Rawson home. I wouldn't expect to see any material changes. P.S. Congrats on your progress with Rawson thus far! Good luck in council. Anybody experienced having your house size reduced due to some compliance requirement? Did Rawson provide credit back? TIA! We added a void to our ceiling essentially removing 5 mtrs of floor space and had to ask for the credit they seem to forget to give it back to you when it’s something they have to pay. I would expect the house price is dictated on a 'per sq m' basis so anything they don't build, you'll get a credit for. Anything we had done, they were very quick to credit us, we had no problem. Ask your Preconstruction Administrator, ours was very helpful (Carla Davies) if we ever had a query like this. Bear Re: Rawson Homes - General Thread 433Dec 01, 2017 9:02 am You can claim credit but if I were you I would insist that they offset the lost area by extending the length of the house thus you will not require a credit and you will have a longer house instead. Thanks for the encouragement, I will try and post up some of the build progress later Re: Rawson Homes - General Thread 435Dec 04, 2017 9:23 am Hi everyone! My fiancé and I are 1st home builders and signed up to Rawson and signed our tender. Choosing a modified Huntley 30 (Trend façade). Our changes are: Single garage (11m block), longer theatre room (shorter "study" at front), smaller rumpus upstairs (to enable larger WIR *sigh* fiancé request), and finally we extended both alfresco and family room 1.5m longer. So far have been really happy with Rawson and the communication so far. They have actually been pushing us to book the Plan Preso but we aren't ready yet as got to choose our external colours and whatever else is needed first. Did you end up going to your plan presentation appointment? How did it go? We just created a blog to share our journey on our build. https://ourkingston33.wordpress.com Building the Rawson Homes - Kingston 33 https://ourkingston33.wordpress.com/ Re: Rawson Homes - General Thread 437Dec 22, 2017 10:36 am batabatuta Micdeez Hi everyone! Just read your blog, thanks for sharing. Ours is on February so still some time but we wanted to leave it a bit as we haven’t thought too much but you had some great advice which we might use. External colours seems to be hard. We want a Colorbond surf mist roof, and keep it light colours throughout for a hopefully cooler summer and look of course. Our brick choice is Truffle (grey) so far. I think surfmist garage, and fascias and gutters a light grey (forgot the name) I’m curious about your solar system with Tesla. Do you mind sharing the approx costs? Yes choosing your external colours can be hard. We had a month to think about it. Went back and forth to the brickyard and asking for all house addresses. Though, that was fun and gave us some ideas on colour combinations. We were thinking of building the Huntley, it's a really nice house. But liked the Kingston cos if the hidden theatre room hehe. With the solar system and tesla power wall. They quoted us $18k all up. We did some research on it and the average cost is around $15-16k, not including labour/installation etc. we decided to get everything done by rawson so it's all tucked in the loan. Plus as our broker said, after handover, you're likely not gonna add anything more. Hahaha which I think it will happen for us. We are looking at handover in Feb/Mar and due to installing our own oven and cooktop I need to organise our interim and final occupation certificate. Does anyone know what this means I need to organise. Who do I get this through etc??? Thanks guys You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14089 Just started the Build process for Chifley 42 with Rawson homes, will keep you all posted with the Build progress. 0 2450 Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
