Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 11, 2016 9:06 am Anyone built with these guys? We are currently looking at them because they have some nice split level options. I want to know about build quality and there buisness overall. I have read some concerning reviews on product review about them (the port stephens group) not paying tradies etc, just dont want to go with a company that gets sued and shuts down. Our main front runner is montgomery homes carolina but i want to do more research to ensure it is the perfect home for us (of which at this point in time it is and their customer service has been great) Hotondo homes have been very helpful and they are more then happy to modify and give us a completly different facade etc. Re: Hotondo homes newcastle/port stephens 2Oct 11, 2016 11:27 am I would go Hotondo over Montgomery any day. Hotondo don't seem to mess around and you will get more included. Montgomery have been a pain to deal with for my neighbours, slow builds, watertanks that aren't connected, no communication etc... I will send you a PM with another option. Re: Hotondo homes newcastle/port stephens 3Oct 11, 2016 12:31 pm I am building with a local franchise of the Hotondo homes... I am very happy with my decision... The builder is so accommodating and is always reachable... I heard Hotondo Homes gives franchise to reputed local builders and they are very responsive to queries on online forums... My builder giving me over and above what Hotondo is giving as standard inclusions... I would suggest you to have a chat with your local franchise and also send a mail to Hotondo and ask about your local franchise http://hotondo.com.au/home-builders/new ... macquarie/ Hope it helps! Re: Hotondo homes newcastle/port stephens 4Oct 11, 2016 4:35 pm HI RegVic Thanks for your comment. How have you found the quality of the products used in your build? Im having a meeting tomorrow with them to go over my modifications on one of their plans, hoping i can get a bigger walking robe and butlers pantry with modifications on their design, as the designs i have chosen from other companies are quite small in those areas and quiet expensive. I will be following you posts! Re: Hotondo homes newcastle/port stephens 5Oct 11, 2016 6:10 pm I am satisfied with the products used. (but honestly I am not an expert to comment on the quality of the material used) My builder provides lot of options as standard inclusions... I sent them a written enquiry last week and they have not yet replied.
