Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 04, 2016 7:52 am HI There, Building a single story 25 square home with a smaller builder in the Melbourne area. Just wondering how long it usually takes from the start of the slab to the completion and hand over of the house. I have emailed one contact at the builder and asked this question a few times, yet the responses seem elusive. I know there are many variables, including the builders' workload and the weather, but I'm trying to adjust my expectations if required. Would appreciate some responses on typical timeframes for similar sized single story dwellings and the builders who performed the work. Then you need to add weekends and public holidays to the build days they give you. Most I found do a 6 month build contract. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: time from start to completion 4Oct 05, 2016 8:53 am Our build time for a 217sqm home is 21weeks from slab down.
