Oh that sucks! Not that it's anything that can't be fixed or replaced with insurance but the added delay is so annoying
. Know how you feel!

I know right, it's frustrating seeing people damage what we're working so hard for and I just want to be in already so any potential delay sucks.

Luckily builder came back to us today and virtually everything is already sorted except them agreeing to grind the uneven section of slab in the kitchen. Pretty good given we only spoke to them about our concerns Friday afternoon!

Oh that's pretty good! Glad to hear it. During our first build we had our air con unit stolen and sinks and tap wars stolen. The idiots didn't turn off the water before they did it so it flooded the house a bit and we had to get most of the skirtings replaced!

Oh no! I don't recall having anything stolen from our first build and crossing fingers for no more missing items this time around as it's too stressful

Sorry to hear about your build basically being raided Mrsdoe. One of my big fears about building is vandals.

Good to see Ventura have been quick to act though and are moving swiftly to get it back all on track. Hopefully there's no reoccurrence!
So all the stolen stuff has been reinstated and they've made lots of progress in the last couple weeks with lock up expected to be the end of this coming week

Cladding and render on the lower floor have been done, internal float and white set finished, all the plasterboard upstairs installed plus ceilings and cornice are in. They're saying doors to be done mid-week and windows end of this week which makes me happy but also sad we won't have unrestricted access to keep tabs on things.

Great stolen stuff all sorted quickly. Yes, definitely looking like a proper house with plaster up, now you can really get a feel for the house and size of the rooms!

Thanks Dani and Dee
plaster made such a huge difference to the front hallway and study, they're so light and bright now compared to what they felt like before!

I drove past this afternoon on my way home hoping we may have a front door but found that all our glass has been installed instead ahead of schedule!

So we've officially reached lock up and have a front door!

We also got an update email today saying the staircase install is scheduled for next week, so flipping excited since I've had to climb up a ladder and through a hatch door on the safety platform every time I've been up there so far

Congrats on hitting lock up! Try not to leave too many nose prints on the Windows now you are locked out

Bahahaha I'll try not to
literally the first thing I did was call my husband and say "we've got a front door AND a bathtub on the kitchen floor" after peeking through all the windows!

Great news!!!

Yay, just sucks being locked out from now on! Yes staircase will be awesome. This is the one thing that I am really looking forward to seeing in ours... still a few months away yet.

Dropped by on the weekend with Mr Doe since he'd not seen the windows or doors in and got a surprise to find the garage grano has been done which wasn't expected. Had a closer look through the windows at the piles of materials and the bathtub, tiles, internal doors, shelving and our skirting boards are all on-site so hopefully we see lots of work happening in the coming weeks

Dropped by this afternoon while the painters were on-site so got to go inside and our staircase is in

We've also got ceilings painted, first coat of paint on the front door and internal doors, bathtub has been set in place and all the shelves are in and painted too. They've managed to do a lot given Monday was a public holiday so this has all been done today and yesterday.
