But there are always limitations/ hiccups along the way which can be very frustrating!! But you are doing an awesome job by the looks of things. It will all get sorted and look amazing in the end Sloping Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style- stairs in 463Mar 03, 2018 10:43 pm Stairs finished today. Got a pic while they were mid way through. Very happy We got the painter to do the first 2 coats of paint on the stairs posts before they were installed to save time and labour. I think it's because there is no downlights in yet and also the windows are obscured reducing light. Also because the window is behind the tile it looks different to having light hit it directly. Hopefully the grout colour we select can bring them up a bit. Have a photo here but a bit hard to make it out Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Sloping Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style- stairs in 466Mar 06, 2018 7:32 am Yep I second that. Stunning!! Re: Sloping Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style- stairs in 467Mar 06, 2018 9:59 pm Thanks guys. You are too kind. We had some shenanigans this week. I opened a box of tiles for the downstairs bathroom and they looked NOTHING like the sample. Wtf. They don't even look like they are the same brand. The ones they sent us are 10 shades darker and veins are much stronger. Not happy. Back they go! Why are the deck posts so high. Might be the camera angle, but it looks like the deck level will be above the window sill. Deck is elevated around 1.1m Sloping Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style- tiling done 474Mar 19, 2018 7:58 pm Tiling looks good! And nice choice there for outdoor tile Re: Sloping Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style- tiling done 475Mar 22, 2018 11:15 pm Decking got delivered and started going in. Bloody hell this dexing is thick!!! It looks great going down so I'm very happy with the Blackbutt we selected. Product was very hard to get in this thickness. Only 1 supplier in all of Victoria but was worth the effort to get it. After lurking here for a long time and reading some amazing build journeys, I decided to document my own build to offer a blow by blow of building in Perth… 0 522 Thanks again for this information. If you do hear anything different, would be great to know 4 5852 dimensions on your original plan are inconsistent and with accurate dimensions (including site plan, upstairs and down) i could make a proper scale drawing with furniture… 3 6127 |
