Nice kitchenware! The sink looks expensive. Could cost much more if its Australian brand.
Does M allow customers to provide their own sinks? Or you did some work to make them agree?

Does M allow customers to provide their own sinks? Or you did some work to make them agree? Cheers! Yeah the sinks were around $190 each delivered through eBay. Very thick steel too. I'm actually not building with M, I have a private custom builder so can do whatever we like. So at the moment I'm just buying up stuff like the price is right showcase and will handover stuff to my builder later for installation. Yes definitely the benefit of going custom. This time round there was no way we were going to be stuck with a builder telling us what products/brands we can and can't have. Or changing their mind on us when they decide to change suppliers! I saw that too often when I worked for a volume builder. For example the builder might change stone supplier and if yours hadn't been ordered yet, you were forced to reselect from the new suppliers range. Too bad if you had your heart already set on a colour because you've seen it in one of their displays!!! Next time i build I'm going to try and go custom, so that I can do the same as you. I actually love researching the heck out of things and then bargain hunting for the lowest price... I've ordered all of my security and electrical stuff for this house that way, and really enjoyed it. I've saved over $1500 on my security system alone, plus may more on electronics and networking I'm really looking forward to watching your build progress Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: SLA 186Jul 05, 2017 10:36 pm scubabe Oh your sink looks gorgeous!!! We had the exact same sink selected when We were looking at a custom build... Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: SLA 188Jul 07, 2017 11:41 pm I'm going to use a similar sink. Ebay/online ones can be good quality, just make sure they are 304 SS and at least 1.2mm thick. Which eBay seller you order it from? Also for those looking for a sink, get a 10mm radius sink rather than 0 radius sink so you easily clean the corners. With your internal steps, what material are you planning to cover the steps with? Timber? I have 400mm difference or 2 steps and will use timber but not sure what type of steps, I think i will have sharp corners without a bull nose but I'm not the timber floor installers will finish it off. Funny you mention that about the sinks. I got the 1.2mm thickness, r10 rounded edges... It was from seller OZbathroom. Very good stuff. Not sure about the stairs yet. I'm in two minds. Either I get the buikder to make them from MDF and have the floor guy cover them, or get my builders stairs guy to build them out of hardwood and stain them to match. If we end up doing parquetry it might be hard to cover them so perhaps might get hardwood with square edges as you said. Not sure yet. Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: SLA 190Jul 08, 2017 9:45 pm If I'm not mistaken I think I hold the record on homeone for longest time taken for a slab. Rain delays and site complexity didn't work in my favour. 3 months and 1 day. 4 separate pours and lost count of how many cubic M of concrete...FINALLY slab was finished today!! I'm really happy the builders concreter was amazing. My son had a ball watching the concrete truck today Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: SLA 191Jul 08, 2017 11:24 pm To be fair, the challenges of your plot would crush most builders. Builder recons the garage will be the LAST thing they do so they don't get blocked off with site access. Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: SLA 197Jul 12, 2017 9:55 pm Frame/timber delivered. Slowly getting there now. The section they started on is the living room which has 3m high ceilings.... Interesting to see perspective of how high it is.
