Yesterday I dropped into a few independent lighting shops. Let’s just say I’ve never seen so many crystal chandeliers in my life, and they werent the good sort! Personally don’t get the appeal for your everyday home. Too OTT for me.
Guess we are going to have to make the trip over the river to see some quality stuff. We want a real statement piece for the stairs void but something a bit rustic. So still have to decide that, also pendant for master (quite like the 5 light Bellay silver orb from Beacon) and one for the powder. Also feature lighting to front pillars (prob just some standard SS up-down lights, but not sure about other external floodlights -but thinking something with sensors. What are you doing for outside lighting?
Omg I laughed so hard at your message.
We also went I to some independent lighting shops yesterday. One in particular on Ballarat road in sunshine. Omg I've never seen so many ugly crystal chandeliers in my life. The store lady was insulted we didn't like a single light in the shop.
Going into beacon after was like being on a different galaxy. Funny how tastes are different.
We are putting in 2 down lights under the front verandah on a switch, and a wall light (Southampton small silver light from beacon) which the electrician will connect to a sensor for us.
Have been to about space but I think my Mrs has made up her mind now so it's done.
