Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 30, 2016 11:03 pm Hi guys I am currently building a new home and it is near completion. As a variation and added cost, I requested Hyne T2 timber to be used for the frame and trusses. I am now asking the builder to provide me the treated timber warranty certificate for 25 year guarantee, but they can't. It is on a masters builder contract. They can not provide me proof of using this treated timber. Can I dispute the charge from the treated timber? Do I have the right to request the invoice they received from their timber supplier? Thanks for your help. Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 11502 Thanks Pulse, thats really helpful and very much appreciated. Also thanks for the pointer on sheathing, thats me watching too many american youtube videos! 6 2103 |
