Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 30, 2016 7:45 pm Intro: We searched for the ideal block and found what we were looking for in Littlehampton. Next decision was who to build with. Not an easy proposition given how many display homes we visited! We finally settled on Metricon to build our dream house. We loved their product and the quality finishes. Our house design is the Mantra 29. How have you found Metricon to deal with? They were our second choice builder but we fell in love with the Homestead floor plan Re: Metricon Mantra 29 - Adelaide Hills 12Sep 30, 2016 11:32 pm mantra29 Shouldn't be too far off then. Where are you building? Hopefully! I was told the planning approval would take about 4 weeks, still have the other approvals to wait for. Anyway! We are building in Blackwood Park. Metricon Mantra 29 - Adelaide Hills 13Oct 01, 2016 8:00 am Like any builder, it pays to check your paperwork thoroughly. We picked up on a few minor errors relating to items left off the plans and questioned a couple of prices. All were rectified quickly and efficiently. We are glad to be over the administration phase. Our site supervisor has been brilliant thus far. We met him for the first site visit on Tuesday. He spent an hour going over the build timeline and we got to ask a lot of questions. We left the meeting full of confidence in the process and that our SS wants to build us a quality house! Meshelf, Blackwood Park is a great spot, very envious! Re: Metricon Mantra 29 - Adelaide Hills 15Oct 01, 2016 8:10 am Looks like a nice slab, lovely big house to go on it!! Will be watching your progress. Good luck from here on out. Wow, look at the water in those trenches Building a Fairmont Custom in Seaford Meadows Our Build Thread Metricon Mantra 29 - Adelaide Hills 17Oct 01, 2016 9:23 am We were too. I emailed our SS straight away. He responded immediately (6:15am). He reassured us that although there had been some erosion of trenches, provided the depth was not compromised, he had ordered extra concrete. With the engineers design, the slab is self supported through the pier system. The independent engineer was obviously happy as he signed it off before the slab was laid. I took lots of photos too as you can never have too many.
