I think I saw that you're building in Dayton as well, we are just in whiteman edge. Look forward to following your build Re: Home group wa Pre start 10Oct 14, 2016 10:32 am Hey Jess - we too are building with HGWA looking forward to following your build! Our Home Group build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83475 Re: Home group wa Pre start 11Oct 14, 2016 11:29 am Hey Jess, quick question, how did it go with the builder requesting you do your own electrical work? I am assuming you need to get in during the build to get all the electrical out of the way? We're still umming and ahhing over what we should look at doing ourselves and what we should be doing through the builder. At the moment pretty much everything is through the builder. Re: Home group wa Pre start 12Oct 14, 2016 12:17 pm Can't wait to see a plan and photos! Good luck with the build process - it's so much fun yet so frustrating at the same time. We did get some bad news when we first arrived which was extra costs for our site works and for our portico as our block is on a slope but we ended up not spending a cent at pre start after taking out a lot of electrical that we're doing ourselves and flooring that we are also doing ourselves. Only upgraded a few things as we had quite a lot of things included in our initial contract. We upgraded our ensuite shower, the kitchen sink, bath tub and handle for the front door. Pretty happy with the result considering the amount I've read on here that people spend on pre start! I'll post some photos of our choices if I can figure out how haha Congratulations, that's great news. May need to bring you along with me to do our pre start. Looking forward to seeing the pics of your choices. BTW Tapatalk is great app to use for homeone forum and is simple to use to add pics. So just an update, we had our slab go down a week before Christmas last year and everything but the paving has been completed. We have been so happy with how everything has gone with HGWA cant fault them at all. http://pin.it/_nTVyeW http://pin.it/efLpDi5 Ive put the link up for some photos of the plan and the finished product , i have to take some more photos of the inside and post them too! Hopefully they work! How is everyone elses build with HGWA been? We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds. That’s why we… 5 16289 4 14468 We've had the offer of a short term tenant whilst waiting for CDC/DA home approval and demolition for our knock down rebuild. It would achieve a pretty low rent as it's… 0 13759 |
