Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 27, 2016 11:05 am Hi All, I'm going to build Fairhaven Newport 275 with some additions and wanting your experience as I go through this process Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 2Sep 27, 2016 11:09 am Does anyone have any pricing & Pictures for fairhaven Category 2,3 Brick, stone bench-top and etc? Fairhaven Newport 275+ 3Sep 27, 2016 11:28 am I am going for a half hour color walk through next Friday in Craigeburn. I was going to ask if they can give price per square feet for category upgrades on carpet, tiles, bricks and stone. The cost will vary vastly for each house price per sq meters is the best guide. If you read through some of the other FH threads you can get an idea on what others have paid. Make sure you check the depth of your fridge cavity I had to increase mine by 100mm. Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 4Sep 27, 2016 11:56 am Hi cant decide, Looking forward for your feedback after Friday color walk through. Yes I noticed their fridge space is not depth enough and I did the same as you to get 780mm depth. I was looking for some pricing but couldn't find any recent (2016 or 2015) pricing. Fairhaven Newport 275+ 5Sep 27, 2016 12:05 pm Great to see the FH threads growing!Where are you building? Your SC should be able to arrange a colour walk through for you before your appointment it's worth asking. Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 6Sep 27, 2016 12:30 pm I'm building in Clyde North (Highgrove) and when I asked she said it's very difficult but she'll try to do that for me. Where about are you building? Fairhaven Newport 275+ 8Sep 30, 2016 1:27 pm We upgraded to cat 3 bricks at a cost of just under $1000 on the Newport 361 We also added stone everywhere so if there was a particular place you were looking at let me know and I'll tell you what the Cost was... If you walk through the display they should be able to give you an "as displayed" option list that lists all the upgrade prices they've put in the display Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 9Sep 30, 2016 1:57 pm [quote="Kat_1025"]We upgraded to cat 3 bricks at a cost of just under $1000 on the Newport 361 We also added stone everywhere so if there was a particular place you were looking at let me know and I'll tell you what the Cost was... We didn't get an exact price but the girl said it was a lot to go gloss Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 11Oct 13, 2016 9:30 am Booked in for my Color appointment on 14th November guys... I think 6 is quite popular based on display homes I've seen and blogs I've read Guess it really depends on the colours you've selected, whether you've gone tiles or floorboards etc Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 14Oct 14, 2016 8:39 am Manage to arrange a color walk-through with Fairhaven next week so that I can be prepare for the real thing. Fairhaven Newport 275+ 15Oct 14, 2016 3:46 pm The color consultant at the Craigeburn was really helpful. I forgot to take pics of which bricks are in which categories if you get a chance can you please post? Enjoy!! Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 16Oct 18, 2016 10:12 am Hi Guys Tried my best to get all covered during 30 min session other day. Do you have a good idea of what you want now? We did our colours back in may and your pics make me feel a lot more settled on our choices. Second guessing myself like crazy haha!! Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 18Oct 19, 2016 3:09 pm Yes I do now Kat_1025, but some of the things I wanted are expensive than I thought and there were few surprises such as roof insulation, carpet underlay and etc. Will see how it goes... Did you include roof insulation and underlay for carpet in yours? Re: Fairhaven Newport 275+ 19Oct 19, 2016 5:55 pm Thanks for the Pics. Have you got any ideas for bricks? I have got most things worked out but bricks are doing my head in. All the bricks I like are Cat 7 or above. I wish Austral bricks hadn't discontinued the Cat 3 Indulgence oversize bricks the normal size ones are Cat 7 . Have you got a date for colour selection yet? I'm still waiting to hear from my CRO. My SC said I would be looking at late November, was hoping to go to tender before Xmas but I don't think it's going to happen. Looking forward to seeing your selections. Did you include roof insulation and underlay for carpet in yours? We upgraded the underlay as that was our biggest regret in our last house. We also went to cat 2 carpet. We had to upgrade some insulation to meet the energy rating after raising ceilings and bigger sliding doors. |
