It will interesting to see how Henley's SS approaches - I think it comes down to the SS. Some will get the rectification and proceed and some just don't care about independent reports from what I have seen across on this forum amongst all builders. Yes, it's all come down to SS and most of them just love to continue as they know it will be covered by the next process. Just to show you what I meant, see the both photos below. The gap is more 15mm and was eventually covered up by cornice. I wonder why should I pay for 6 stars energy rating where the workmanship is so bad. To make things worst, it's the mainvue (aka reserve) range that I'm building. Henley don't take pride in their work from what I see as I'm just another number to it. Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 5 - Frame has started 565Sep 08, 2017 11:30 am all issues will be fixed minus 2 of them which were almost trivial anyway so we are extremely happy with this and now feel at ease that things will be fixed. However it does make you question some of these trades as some of the mistakes are things that they should know to do, a few walls here and there that are not straight Is understandable but missing some major fixings is a big issue! If someone doesnt have these independent inspections then they would end up with some major issues down the track! We had a terrible chippy doing the frame; the quality was so bad. In the end the site manager was so frustrated he just fixed all the defects himself. Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 5 - Frame has started 573Sep 12, 2017 11:36 am well this should be a fairly eventful weekl for us this week, roof to be compelted, Heating Ducts, plumbing roughing and Windows should be going in. Im guessing that the electrician will be soon after and then the house can be wrapped ready for bricks! It seems to be ramping up and moving along quickly im guessing that by mid october we will be bricked and palstered so then the internals can begin so a end of jan/early feb handover date is looking good at the moment! So we are definitely hoping for the earlier move in as we only have 90 days to complete landscaping in order to get our rebate! Plus our lease is up as of mid march so I want a bit of time fixing up the garden here to make it look clean and tidy so we get all of our bond back! it's going to be a crazy 5 months!!
