Except for PIC which is expected to happen this coming week. Awesome! I am just trying to determine whether we will be getting a mid July or an end july start.. I am definitely going to be pushing henley to start mid july! Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 402Jul 02, 2017 5:23 pm spice girl Great news!! Bring it on Henley ! 😀 Thanks! I am going to try my luck at pushing it through this week and get our file moved to construction! Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 403Jul 06, 2017 8:43 am Every day we are edging closer! Our admin now has the file back from the ordering team and is just going through it all, once this is done we are almost ready to be moved to construction!! I am hoping that this can happen by end of this week, but I am also not going to be pushing my luck. This has been a long road for us since we signed our contracts on May 1st and they anticipated we would be on site before the end of june! With the failed soil tests and failed developer approval this has added at least 3-4 weeks to our wait time. Our fingers are crossed to hopefully have a site start towards the end of next week/start of the following week as I will be on annual leave and I will be stalking the block daily, which I am currently doing anyway as we live around the corner haha! Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 405Jul 06, 2017 3:02 pm aloenyx You will get there!! D Very exciting. It took them around 7 months to get started on mine after signing contracts, so you are doing really well! Oh Wow!! How on earth did it take them 7 months? Was your block titled or were you waiting for the titles to come through? Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 406Jul 06, 2017 3:55 pm It's a very long story.... basically worked with the builder for ages, was told everything would be done before block titled... block titled in February, took until March to finish the contract... another month for finance approval, then got major delays due to estate approval, finally solved around June... then found out the builder didn't have his insurance in place, that took till September to sort out, then permits took about a week, so build started 1/10. I was NOT happy, since they promised everything would be done to start right away, was told I'd be the first building on my street, instead I was the last. They had 12 months prior to settlement to get it all done too, originally titles were due in April, then December, finally came through February. I should have changed builders, so its now July and still waiting for my house to be completed Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 407Jul 06, 2017 4:01 pm [quote="aloenyx"]It's a very long story.... basically worked with the builder for ages, was told everything would be done before block titled... block titled in February, took until March to finish the contract... another month for finance approval, then got major delays due to estate approval, finally solved around June... then found out the builder didn't have his insurance in place, that took till September to sort out, then permits took about a week, so build started 1/10. The Stress which it would have put you through would have been hell! I dont feel like ours has been bad at this point! But at the moment its this awwkard waiting time of them haveing to confirm all of the ordering etc... This part seems to be the most painful Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 408Jul 06, 2017 4:04 pm Contracts is definitely stressful, at least once building starts you can sort of sit back and just enjoy the show. And once things begin you feel like something is actually happening for all the work you've put in. Yuh, been a hard 3 years and unfortunately not over yet. I don't think I've gone through anything so bad in my life so far, and I thought building would be fun XD Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 409Jul 07, 2017 7:47 am aloenyx Contracts is definitely stressful, at least once building starts you can sort of sit back and just enjoy the show. Well hopefully once it is all over you can move in and it can be a distant memory and you guys can enjoy the new home! Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 411Jul 11, 2017 3:58 pm aloenyx I am so hoping that once its done it will all feel worth it XD Guess we'll soon see! Well fingers crossed it is all over soon! I definitely no the stress that this can cause! Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 412Jul 12, 2017 7:36 pm Well after almost 12 weeks being an admin, my Fiance had enough and escalated our file to the manager at henley. Our file has been going back and forward to drafting and nothing seemed to be happening. ever since she escalated this we have now moved to the very final phase and they are saying we should be moveing to construction some time tomorrow! All i can say is this has been a long process! Almost 3 months of waiting since titles to get to site! Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 413Jul 12, 2017 7:38 pm Hi Stay! I thought your papers we're already with construction? That sucks. Sometimes you have to keep pushing to get things moving. Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 414Jul 12, 2017 7:43 pm voltairevi Hi Stay! I thought your papers we're already with construction? That sucks. Sometimes you have to keep pushing to get things moving. Nope! We have had some pretty out right stupid mstakes from henley which has delayed us by at least 1 month! OUr admin has been great but she doesnt answer my phone calls and it always seems like a hard task to just get some simple answers, but with a bit of a push we got it all done and should be moved to construction tomorrow, as this is what we are pushing for! My settlement for land was delayed until I let my inner hulk out and gave a spray to all parties involved. Next day settlement was organised and all transfers made. You have to keep on top off them or they'll give their attention to someone else who is jumping up and down. Yep I couldn't agree more and they have already gone past some of the hia dead lines which are in the contract! As soon as you start throwing these things at them they act pretty fast! The problem is we shouldn't have to be chafing them! They should correctly maintain their jobs and keep checking and pushing the files through but when your admin goes on annual leave and then has sick leave it all adds up and the other people answering the emails just tend to miss things! So it's been a long 12 weeks for us since signing contracts but we are almost there Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 417Jul 14, 2017 12:13 pm And we have moved to construction! However it's going to take another 1-2 weeks before we see any action on our block we were meant to be onsite mid June! I'm hoping it's a lot sooner Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 418Jul 14, 2017 12:28 pm stayxtrue And we have moved to construction! It seems there are delays everywhere from land titles, to permits to construction. So have realigned my expectations to be prepared for a Q4 2018 build completion. Earlier would definitely be better but its stressful thinking otherwise. The land is playing a huge part in our delay. Trying to see if i should look for titled land but its not cheap anywhere really. Good luck with your build - i'm watching closely Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build 419Jul 14, 2017 1:38 pm Good to hear Jamie...Finally moved to construction. Hope everything will go smooth.
