Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Fit out has begun! 653Nov 01, 2017 9:56 pm Hi Stay, Your build is has got into motion and looks great. We are building with HENLEY (Carmelle Lux Q2) and have had bumpy ride so far. Initially there was nothing happening but things picked up now nothing has been happening for the past 2-3 weeks. Brick work had stopped due to shortage of brickies now our SS has advised that the carpenter is off work for the past 2 weeks (they need to fix issues picked up by darbecca. Also SS advised that there is shortage of painters. Cant believe that HENLEY does not have any back up. It looked that we could have got the house by xmas but now looks highly unlikely. Keep on top of the SS they tend to slack off at times and try moving trades to different jobs as they have a back log. Keep on top of the SS they tend to slack off at times and try moving trades to different jobs as they have a back log. Yea my SS let me know that due to the high influx of houses going into construction that there would be some form of delays. I think it also comes down to the trades your SS has and if they also have a good relationship with them as they can pull a bit of weight and pull them to your house over another SS’s. Our SS has pre booked in most of our trades and I think he is pushing for a Christmas move in but I am expecting more end of January as I don’t want to have a rushed house. Hopefully things pick up for you guys again Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Fit out has begun! 657Nov 06, 2017 4:25 pm pEast Hi stay how does the appointments with private inspector work - does Henley give a time for a particular day and then u ask darbecca for that time ? - I am just a bit concerned with the time frame regarding pre-pour inspection and whether they get time to rectify the issues Prepour is the only time critical one and you ss will be in contact with darbecca. Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Fit out has begun! 658Nov 06, 2017 4:30 pm Hey pEast, two peeps I know said to see if the concreters can be onsite at time of pre pour inspection to rectify issues. If not, I’ve heard they come early in day to fix before pour. Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Fit out has begun! 660Nov 06, 2017 8:45 pm pEast Hi stay how does the appointments with private inspector work - does Henley give a time for a particular day and then u ask darbecca for that time ? - I am just a bit concerned with the time frame regarding pre-pour inspection and whether they get time to rectify the issues Hi pEast, Darbecca will co-ordinate with HENLEY for the pre-pour inspection. Any defects identified will have to be rectified before the pour generally they do it early morning. Rest of the inspections will have to co-ordinated between yourself and HENLEY and Darbecca. Make sure that you have everything on emails and get HENLEY to fix any issues picked up by Darbecca before they proceed further. We have done all of the stages of inspection for peace of mind. Darbecca did pick up issues on various stages of inspection (although our SS kept saying they will always pick up things no matter how small the issue is). Definitely worth having independent inspection (our SS mentioned if Darbecca were not involved they would have rushed through the job). 4 14297 Hello everyone Please advice me how can I install mesh security window or we cab say mesh flyscreen inside while the pvc plantation shutters are already installed?
